Why does "LAN" require a "server"?

So I tried to boot-up Lan with some friends at my house and it required us all to connect to the servers… the whole point of LAN stands for Local Area Network.

Result:

  • Xbox - NOT CONNECTED TO INTERNET.
  • Custom Game - Server - Local Offline
  • Click Play - Message (Attention) - There was an issue with the Halo Infinite servers.

Desired Result:

  • Click Play and can play the game WITHOUT connecting to the SERVERS…

Why isn’t anyone talking about this???

Can you guys try this and see if you get the same result…
