This is ridiculous. It’s obviously supposed to work, but it just doesn’t. Keyboard does, mouse does NOT. Has been this way since the very first flight and they still haven’t fixed it?
That’s unfortunate, but why are you trying to use keyboard and mouse at all? Especially on a console? Mouse and Keyboard plays so bad in this game it’s not worth using. A Controller is vastly superior.
Why not just play on PC then

You might say it’s as terrible feedback as stating that “A Controller is vastly superior”.
So far, everyone I ever talked about said the exact opposite, which is why console players don’t want to play in PC matchmaking pool.

Hi, I had the same issue during closed beta, but now KBM works perfectly fine for me.
There is a workaround, which worked for my friend:
- Turn on the xbox WITHOUT any xbox controller, but WITH plugged KBM instead.
- Turn on the game using keyboard.
- Still use your keyboard to navigate the manu and select a game mode.
- Enjoy.
If it will not help then try to reinstall the game and do the same as above before first turn-on of Halo.
After that it worked also with Xbox controller and KBM plugged in at the same time.
Not in the hands of someone that can use them.
It works for me, but only if you start the console with with m&k connected.
so it is bugged for sure, since MCC you could just plug it in and go.
For those saying why not just use PC? well, I have a 6600xt an i7 and 32gb ram, and the series X still poops on it whilst costing a 1 3rd the price. 120fps 1440p on xbox, 80 fps medium 1080p on my PC.
and having both xbox and pc with gamepass ultimate is a good way to go and is the only way to have access to all the gamepass games.
