Why does JiP for Rumble Pit exist?

It really doesn’t make any sense. It’s an FFA gametype. JiP was to help people all alone in team gametypes…sorta illogical…

So the guy with 15 kills 2 minutes in can still have opponents to kill after everyone quits. Obviously, if you can’t surpass someone with that kind of advantage coming into a game then you’re a complete BK and deserve your derank.

Yeah…if I join a game in progress with someone who has 20 kills and I can’t beat him, I guess I’m really bad :confused:

I always back out if my match isn’t JIP. I the leader doesn’t at least have a ten point edge, there is no way I would have any competition.

JiP is not needed there. While it may make searches a tiny bit faster, it does a lot of CSR harm. I would much prefer it being gone.

I literally joined in progress one time in Rumble Pit where the leader had 23 kills…boy that was fun. I got second place at least :confused:

I’m with you OP. JIP just tried to put me in 5 games tonight, but I was able to avoid them using the network trick, and fortunately, my CSR is still 20.
JIP is bad, but it’s at its worst in any FFA playlist. If one playlist had JIP removed, it would need to be Rumble Pit.

I really hope 343 reads this…because even if it WERE fair (which it’s not) there’s no reason for it existing in this playlist!!!

This thread has a good point. Just hoping the tighter JiP windows allow you to get into the action before the leader is 10-15 kills up already. But yea there is really no point to JiP in FFA.

They read these things, but they seem to take their time. Along with picking and choosing which issues to address first.

I imagine this would be a fairly easy thing to fix, but like I said 343’s slow on updates.
