It’s the steam version. When i try to boot the game it turns out it was uninstalled for no reason. This happens when i turn on my pc again. Does anyone know why?

I have friends who had the same problem. They started up the game after downloading it from steam, and what happens? Steam decides to redownload it again, and THEN had to install it after that from the in-game menu. I kind of wish after downloading it on steam that it’d be just done. I don’t have to download and install Total War games, or Warhammer40k Inquisitor after downloading twice-over. Once it downloads its playable.
Not that I’m angry, I’m more confused as to why it decides to do that, and if it would let us know before hand that would be great, because then I could pre-emptively download it, or set it to download while I’m doing something else, so I could go take a walk or do my German 2 classwork in the meantime, instead of sitting down expecting to play, and having to download and install it all over again lol.
