Why does Halo Infinite have to launch with SeriesX this year? It’s clearly the game could be improved a lot if it has more development time.It is in development for nearly 5 years but that doesn’t mean it was enough time.
Especially considering building a new engine for like 3 years and this year’s virus situation that made the development more difficult. There is no shame in delaying a game you’ve been working on for 5 years, there were great games that got delayed and were made for 7 years or more.
Now they want to sell more Consoles right away cause they will have a nice picture of Halo Infinite on the box and some physical copies with game on disc, but that don’t mean nothing on the long run.
Xbox executives say this will be the Console launch with most games ever,so then what’s the hurry?I think it’s because they won’t have any other exclusive game as a physical copy on disc.I’ts all about Game Pass anyway next gen, from what they showed us.We are getting more and more Xbox games digital now and less on a disc. What other Xbox exclusive game will be on a disc when Series X comes out?Gears Tactics maybe or the Flight Simulator? Can’t think of anything else and the question is if even those 2 will be on a disc now.
So it can sell series x better. I guess they learned this from halo 4 since xbox one had a bad launch and halo 4 should had been a launch title for the xbox one.
The game was meant come out before but it was due to critism for halo 5s story.
To make that money money. 343 is a business. Halo is very popular and greatly influences its user base. xbox needs to sell new xboxes. So since they both have the same parent company they are leveraging Halo to help sell new xboxes.

It hasnt been in development for 5 years for gods sake. The game by itself has been in development for at the very least 2 years, and they can fix all the graphics issues in 4/5 months. The Coalition had the same problem with the Gears 4 and 5 demos, and they solved it, even when the demos were just 2 months before the games releases, and 343 is a way more capable company than The Coalition. Why do people keep beating a dead horse??

Halo 5 came out in 2015,it’s 2020 now. What have they been doing for 3 years then? The Coalition is the best Xbox first party studio this gen,and i heard that they now have to help 343 to finish Infinite along with other developers.
343i have completely wasted their opportunity for the Xbox Series X. If Infinite is the platform for the next 10 years, then obviously there will never be a Halo game specifically made to take advantage of the power of the Series X. It’s a sad day.
Probably an unpopular opinion, but I’d rather have the game now as is and have it improve over time with patches.

They developed Slipspace engine for 3 years, and they started development on early 2019. The 2018 trailer was more of an engine trailer than a game trailer by itself, so its time for people to stop quoting the “5 year development”, because its -Yoink-

Ok so if the engine was capable of making something as astonishing is the 2018 trailer then why the drastic drop in visual fidelity?

I will be getting meself a Series X (if the pricing is within my budget) so that I can enjoy all Halo Infinite has to offer. It’s a bit of a weird marketing’s strategy, essentially saying you don’t NEED to buy the latest console, but as i understand it spec wise, it will be the best Xbox console. I’ve had my Xbox One since H5 and I’m excited to make a change and upgrade to a new system. What better way than with a new Halo?

That explains a lot then. But i never saw a good triple A game with 1 year development, that’s why i think it should be delayed.

Its been 2 years. January 2019-January 2020: one year. January 2020-last months of 2020: 10 months. It has been in development almost 2 years, and for triple A game, its pretty decent
So now that it’s confirmed Multiplayer will be free to play why not launch with Multiplayer only and work couple months more on Campaign. You can change the Multiplayer a lot if it has issues but you can’t change Campaign when it’s out.
