Why does halo 5 seem like a better game then infinite, in a lot of ways

no they both suck lol

Thats your personal opinion. If anyone dont like halo infinite story. IDC. but saying that h5 has a better story is a whole other level of being dumb

h5 is the worst but Inf is not much better and at least at the end of 5 there was a sense of completion, Inf just felt like a prologue

And what is running a poll going to tell me? For example, look at nearly every highest grossing movie ever, and see how many have one best picture. None! Just because it isn’t the most popular doesn’t mean it isn’t better.

And for the details you mentioned that aren’t in the trailers… they are completely inconsequential. Chak lok was created for this game to die in this game. He means nothing in the grand scheme of things. Same with almost every character in this game.

And questioning whether or not we would face off against the Harbinger and defeat her is ridiculous. It is supposed to be a 10 year game…so yeah, she knocks Chief through a tree and kills him…game over I guess? By the way, they showed that in the trailers too.

As for Halo 5s story, yes I would have liked to play as Chief and Blue team more, but they were actually trying to build out some characters like all of Fire team Osiris, and formally introducing Blue Team. You had carry over characters like Laskey, Roland, and Palmer. They were actually building on a bigger story that was infinitely deeper than ANYTHING Halo Infinite is doing, not to mention that it’s story makes no sense.

Seriously, Escharum wants to activate the rings again? Why? You’re kicking humanity’s collective -Yoink!-, so you’re going to active the Rings why? He is so worried about honoring Atriox that he’s going to destroy all that he built. Again, makes NO sense.

And yes, the Harbinger is part of the Endless. 343 talks about the new race they introduce, not the two new races they introduce, because if the Harbinger isn’t Endless, then she’s something new, making her a SECOND new race introduced.

For a player that hasn’t played Infinites campaign before the release of what comes next only needs to watch the trailers to get caught up.

where did eschurum say that he is going to activate the halo? Chief only assumed that it was his intention.
Dude the legendary ending of infinite alone is worth more infinitely than anything 5 did.
from what is shown she isnt the endless. Proved by the cylixes we see throughout the game.
h5 tied to build a team and failed miserebaly. And unlike that stupid game infinite actually builds a team.
I can guarantee you that if buck didnt exsist prior to 5 then no one would have liked that -yoink- team.
Ok i would talk about what you said . that h5 was building a story. ok. cortana just magically alive now and send chief a message which only chief is able to recieve. No one other than him.
she could have have no obstacle for chief as she was in control of the promethens and the warden which she didnt until the very end.
Or she could have killed off osiris pretty easily considering the warden has 1000;s of bodies but a single mind.
Or the whole game was set around guardians and we didnt get to fight one.

I don’t think so Tim. Escharum was totally going to set off the ring. Why else would he want it. And I’m pretty sure he tells the Harbinger that, to which she blows off because it won’t affect her.

What team did they build in Infinite? Chief, Bro hammer, and the Weapon? Chief is still a solo act with an AI and someone to baby sit. And your comments about Buck don’t make any sense. Buck was great before H5, and was great in H5. He has some of the best dialog in any Halo game ever in H5. As for the rest of Osiris, they never got a chance to be fully built out story wise because 343 was too afraid of their fan base to see the story through. And what did that get them…another pissed off fan base. Except this time they cant wipe the slate clean and start over. So now fans and developers are stuck with this -Yoink!- show for better or worse.

You should go back and play through H4 and H5 again and pay attention to the story. Cortana was in the domain, giving her all kinds of control, she didn’t just reappear from thin air. She was using the Forerunner technology. I’m going to guess you own a cell phone and can opporate it, so when you make a call, does every phone in the world light up… Nope, just who you called. Same goes for Cortana contacting the Chief. She directed it to him, hence no one else getting the message.

Cortana doesn’t kill off Osiris immediately for the same reason Atriox doesn’t kill the Chief at the beginning of Infinite…you need a character to play as. Simple as that.

The game is called Halo and we haven’t fought one of them yet either.

So then why is it that you go from halo reach with equipment and different guns, to no equipment and Ce guns. Reach is not without its problems either, but yet we still say it’s a good game. Ya I’m gonna need a little more logic to why you don’t like h4

At the end of the day, Halo 5 : Guardians was the best Halo game developed by 343 Industries and when compared to Classic Halo CE, Halo 2, Halo 3 and Halo Reach ; Halo 5 is just superior.

“ nAsTaLgIa “ fans of the classics don’t want to admit this, but the amount of hrs they dropped on Halo 5 is probably more than the amount of hrs dropped on the classic multiplayers online.

All in all, Halo 5 is the best Halo game.

Feel free to cry in the replies and say I’m cap’n, but I am not.

Halo Infinite is the worst Halo game ever made, So bad, its just as worst as Halo 3 after the first DLC hotfix dropped.

on how and why Halo 4 sucked. And it isn’t just my personal preference. The majority of the fanbase HATES Halo 4 because of the fact it was intentionally designed to be a game that isn’t Halo while claiming that is IS Halo.

  • Terrible PvE experience
  • Art style was all over the place and only had lie .2% of assests resemble the actual series design norms
  • Sound design was nice with weapon but the soundtrack was all wrong. Not going to lie that some songs are great, but the fact that Star Wars overtures are in the game just breaks the immersion and experience.
  • Loadouts in mutliplayer ruined the experience for everyone
  • HEAVY bullet magnetism until an update in June of 2013
  • Spartan-Ops should’ve been a tie-in game and not included in Halo 4

Put simply. Halo 4 is NOT Halo. It feels more like someone extremely modded another game entirely to have some Halo assets put in (IE - Warthog, Mark VI Armor, the Assault Rifle).

And if you want proof that the Halo fanbase hated Halo 4?
The peak player population was just around 410,000 players… on day two of the game’s lifetime.
Within a year, the daily player population dropped to nearly 10,000.

To put it into more context, Halo 4 was such a failure that 3/4 of the DLC content was scrapped and Seasons 2 & 3 of Spartan-Ops were cancelled in favor of making the Halo Escalation comics.

Halo fans wanted a sequel to Halo 3.
343 Industries has a hiring mantra of “do NOT hire Halo fans. We want to bring in new ideas in an attempt to bring in new players.”
And so, they decided to make a videogame that was NOT a Halo game but insisted that it was.

 Well isn’t that just your shared opinion…

Because it is 20 characters.

Because it is. You cannot make up this nonsense that 343 has pulled. It’s like a bad PR stunt, as well as a bit of deja vu with No Man’s Sky. They just don’t know when to stop talking. This is just embarrassing. Halo 5 was worth far more than what Infinite is worth, I should have NOT paid 60 bucks for this game.

Did I not post numbers and population statistics?
Halo 4 had the WORST playerbase drop in the franchise.
410,000 on day 2 to 10,000 on day 365 of Halo 4’s first year of being live.

Halo 4 is the worst in the franchise due to a multitude of factors which all stem from the fact that the newly created studio wanted to redo everything from the ground up despite the franchise never having any problems to begin with that would warrant a complete redesign both visually and gameplay wise.

Halo 5 campaign is trash. Absolute garbage. Halo 5 multiplayer was awesome. The movement is great. The speed was fun. The vehicles weren’t trash. Warzone is fun. The progression system is better. The guns were good. Honestly, other than the copy and paste maps, Halo 5 multiplayer is currently more fun than infinite.

Halo 4 is by far the worst. The only people who like it are kids that it was their first halo game because Dad picked it up. (Halo 5’s campaigns has worse gameplay, but the stories are equally trash)

Yes and Halo 5 STILL launched with more content and in a better state than Infinite, I can pull up exact numbers if you’d like.

Yes, more options are always better. People just have way too much nostalgia for the older games. Honestly I don’t ask the Halo Community for their opinions on much of anything because it always boils down to “Bungie good 343 bad.”

Personally I like Reach, 4, and 5 MP’s better than any other game in the series, and while I do enjoy some Halo 2 classic now and then, I prefer the games with far more options on how to play the game.

I disagree. Having a plethora of options can easily create confusion and frustration when you don’t get the option you want - as was my experience with Halo 5 because there were so many weapons and so many movement technqiues that it pulled the game away from what I loved about Halo, which was the simplicity of pick-up-and-play. Anyone with shooter experience on console could easily jump into Halo for a good time.

It’s not a case of “Bungie good, 343 bad” because that’s an incredibly foolish oversimplification of the issue - for a large percentage of us, we just like the way that Bungie handled and approached the design of their games. Halo 4 was focused too hard on trying to ape Call of Duty and Halo 5 was focused way too hard on diverging from what people like about Halo into an attempt to bring in a new audience, as well as competitive play. Major organizations have not learned that it’s more profitable and easier to keep an existing consumer than it is to convert new consumers.

Infinite is also trying to get a new fan base with the BR game mode and wasn’t trying to mimic other games by making it F2P… but the thing is from what I’ve seen, companies build up consumers trust and then betray it for the extra money. And with the shop and expensive prices they’ve had before I think that’s exactlt what they’re doing
