Firefight should not have a time limit at all. I don’t know why 343 has such a hard time getting things right when the right way to do firefight already existed before…
I agree i prefer the old firefight of surviving rounds with limited lifes instead of warzone firefight but the reason they’ve put a time limit on is
because without it, it would be an inevitable win you could just sit next to a req station and keep firing your AR until they fall.
but with a time limit you have to resource your reqs, get up close and do as much damage as possible and work as a team, its amazing how much damage you can do when you get your mic out and tell everyone to aim for the weak spot, it seems people forget every enemy has one.
I imagine the time limit is probably more to do with the fact it runs on dedicated servers. If WZFF were to run until everyone loses all their lives, games could end up going on for a very long time, which would probably be very taxing on the servers. Even if it was an offline mode, the fact that 343i like to tie everything to dedicated servers probably means that giving it a time limit was simply unavoidable.
Because this is WARZONE Firefight, not Firefight as it was in Reach or ODST.
This time, it presents a challenge, where you have to achieve the goals within the time limit to get the rewards. Just because the first two version of firefight were without a time limit, the new one doesn’t have to as well. WZFF is 343’s spin and take on it, you’re not forced to play it really. The old ones are still playable.
