Because it’s the best social mode in the game right now. Can’t get farmed in FF.

I am confused. You ask why people like it and then say nobody plays it. Those kind of contradict themselves. A lot of people play it it takes a second to find a match.
The OP needs to rewrite this whole thing… the title doesn’t even match his first sentence… he asked why does every one like firefight and then goes on to say no one plays it… that’s odd because I played it just tonight and had no trouble finding a match and on focused search. Also there is leveling up in H5… in fact there is two ways to level up there is the “credit” based xp system like Reach had which you gain xp in any mode and they have the csr system in the arena. Also as far as the req system is yeah it could use improvement but why does every one seems to think 343 made tons and tons of cash off it? Did they get a sneak peak into 343 books that no one else got? Also it’s hardly a “cash grab” when they are very open about what you get for your money when or IF you choose to use it. I can agree the campaign didn’t have a good story line but the missions were fun and the environments were great. The campaign gets way more hate than it deserves imo

Ah yes, it was as free as, oh wait, don’t the req packs pay for the DLC’s? So it’s free for people who don’t want to are can’t pay but those people who do sink money into still payed for the DLC.
The dlc isn’t free someone else is just paying for it.

I’m not fan boy and try to post constructive criticism where I can so the the developers can improve the game, (lots of tweaks needed to Firefight for instance e.g. the spawn locations are pretty bad right now)
I find it hard to believe you love the game from reading the OP - you did a pretty good job of disguising it.

For someone who has only 67 multiplayer games, and some of those where DNF’s, and 1 campaign run. Your insight into this game is amazing.

Also firefight is best mode, not the your OP actually discusses it. Actually is a game mode that encourages people to use mic’s and teamwork.

You don’t have to pay for the stuff and you get the DLC. Yet you complain because it means someone else paid for it? The twist of logic required for that hurts. I feel like you belong on tumblr
