I’ve returned to matchmaking after a month or so of not playing it. I figured I’d have to re-adjust to the game. Lo and behold, I’m murdering people left and right, but have lost several games because my team was friggen brutal. I’ve pretty much carried the team every game with a k/d of +10. I was even on course for a Perfection medal, only to be betrayed by my dbag teammate who had the sniper rifle and shot me, not once, but twice. Fortunately, I got to boot his bk butt back to the matchmaking menu, but it isn’t enough to make up for the abundance of terrible players. What happened to Halo? Why is everyone terrible? In Halo 3 (the few times I’ve played its Matchmaking since I got a 360 when Reach was already out), the games were tight, competition was fierce, I always had fun and (this is important) I never had to wait 5 fracken minutes for a host to be chosen. If there are any players out there who are good, please help a frustrated player out!
Because the matchmaking system sucks.
Matchmaking system kinda sucks bro. Sometimes you get awesome teammates, other times you get trollers and idiots.
matchmaking sucks now. Before i use to raise hell and beat the crap out of players, b/c of the good teams, now im always teamed up with idiots in SWAT and in Griffball who don’t want to play. Its sucks, bottom line. I even got to the point of just playing Living Dead.

Oh yeah. I personally gave up with having teamates who suck, even the newcomers suck. Basically, i hate carrying teams for sucky players so i moved to LD.
I know exactly what you mean. Every game is different. It does seem like it used to run better. I hope they fix this for Halo 4. A solution for the bad players is to have your own party, but playing alone I understand. I usually play alone. You never know what your gonna get.

Yeah, I would party up but none of my friends play Reach anymore. It’s a split between CoD, Battlefield and RE6. And with Halo 4 just around the bend, there’s no chance.
Yes i’m tired of me and that one or two extra random guy(s) always carrying the team.
the game gives you bad teammates because it knows the match is only fair for the other team if you are handicapped … This is at least what I like to believe myself in why I get so many bad teammates. I still win being the only player on the team usually to get a positive k/d and not feed kills to the enemy.
Because you’re playing with randy. GBK randy at that it seems.
Reach is about personal glory anyway. Keep smashing those bk’s for the time being and doing you, Halo 4 is right around the corner.

… Honestly, I don’t know why you’re complaining. I get matched up against highly coordinated teams when my teammates look like they’re still thumbing through the “My First DMR” manual.
One time I got ~ 30 kills in one regular team slayer game, and the rest of the team weren’t even in double digits, and the guy below me got 8/9 I think. The other team were near enough evenly spread out. Still won though, but I always had to mop up my team’s mess, and make up for the betrayers and team “mates” that just pissed around. There was a guy that was just shooting the rest of the team, and the rest just weren’t that good. I accept that there are players that just aren’t that good, and I would not poke fun at them just because they might not be as good, but usually most players should have some degree of common sense. There are players that aren’t that good, but still take the competition seriously. I don’t like it when players just piss about, not trying, betraying/shooting/annoying other members of the team etc.
I don’t know whether players ‘suck’ now, I think that the skill gap is just finally making it’s mark. People have learnt the maps to a T now and so many people have devised strategies for so many different things. I have found myself becoming infuriated with my team mates lately with betrayals and a lack of common sense but I can’t say I’m not unfamiliar with players betraying for a power weapon that they cannot use. In the last week I’ve racked up three more perfections with team mates who are lagging far behind in the score range.

Having a solid team of friends always seem to work for me 
I did make a gaming community in order to avoid the hell of randoms. Just couldn’t stand it anymore.
I hate playing by myself now. I will never play slayer or BTB unless I’m with a group of friends 'cause I’m sick of getting teamed with randoms who have no frigging idea how to play and betray you when the other team is murdering us
This game is so bad thease days, every player i get matched with is troll or stupid kid. I bet everyone is suckish cuz they are kids. And whiny.

Sometimes i like that but most of the times, i like playin solo in non team playists.
I think some of it has to do with new people coming on Reach now. I have been playing some Recruit, Corporals, and SGTs lately.

Rank means jack in this game in terms of skill. In Halo 3, your Rank was determined by how well you did. Now it’s all about the stupid credits that contribute nothing to actual gameplay. For every bad Recruit/Sergeant I’ve played, there are ten bad Inheritors.
