Why can’t the customization be like the older games

I don’t think cores in principle is a bad idea.
But the way they handled them was disgusting.

Someone else mentioned this and I agree:
Cores should become the Battlepass itself.
You pay 20 bucks straight to unlock the core, you play with the core equipped to gain XP on it and unlock tiers of customization. New coating? Slapped onto the latest tier for the core. New attachment? Slap onto the latest tier for the core.
The free MK7 which every player gets? Free core and free customization tiers.
Fractures cores? Tiers can only be earned during Fracture events, but the rewards never run away, being neatly tucked away inside the core.
Save in-store purchases to actual QoL products like extra Armor Look slots, XP boosts and resetting challenges.
