I think it was in BTB and 6v6 Obj. but I haven’t seen it for a long time.
isnt there a forge map in the rotation right now made from the erosion space?
Oh Ya I also seen that Forge variant in the Infection and Swat playlists.
I’ve always wondered why I’ve never seen it before.
I think the only time I’ve ever played on that map was in Flood…
The map “Blacksite” will come up in FFA and Doubles playlists, otherwise it’s absent.
The built-in map known as “Ascent” was originally going to be in BTB, but it is actually one of the most unbalanced maps in history.
Ascent has never been in matchmaking.
I don’t even know what erosion looks like.
The only Forge Map of Erosion ive seen pop up mostly in Grifball. However, Ramir3z77 is right, Ascent had never appear in Matchmaking.

Its the Forge map, that looks like a Cave.

Except for Blacksite in SWAT and Doubles, and Temple in Infection.
There’s just no Ascent because it’s a terrible map. The lack of erosion (aside from previously listed maps) otherwise is simply because there are very few good forge maps created on that pallet.
The dynamic lighting breaks very, very easy there, and the pallet is far from a favourite amongst forgers, so it’s generally avoided.
Black Site is not in Doubles.
The thing with Erosion is that the Forge pieces look awful, and it has the most pronounced framerate issues out of all the current Forge maps. Nobody wants to make anything on it.
