seriously you need to be crouch walking or you get seen instantly
Works fine if you ask me. Comparing it to Halo 1,2 and 3s camo, it does have its own pros and cons.
Difference is, it lasts longer now. However you can’t just walk full speed and become a full blown Predator (Movie reference) that easily. It’s a tactical advantage, meant to give you an edge. It’s not supposed to be the next ‘‘Condor Gunship’’ tool afterall, where you can take down everything you wish, in those noble 60ish seconds it lasts.
Camo is just fine. Camo blocks enemies from seeing the user in radar so you can get around resistance and take down a handful of enemies if you execute your attack right. If people are seeing you in camo. Chances are, you are moving way too fast so the effect wears off until slow down or you are caught firing your weapon without you knowing someone spotted you.

Not true!
If you move at a normal pace, you will be seen on radar, it has ALWAYS been this way… one of the balancing mechanisms.

You are only seen on radar/motion sensor using camo by sprinting or fast speed movement.

That isn’t the case; if you’re using a camo and aren’t crouch walking or don’t have ‘advanced sensors’ on in warzone you will show up on radar.
If you have advanced sensors on you won’t show up on radar unless sprinting or firing; unless the other person has advanced sensors in which case you’d have to crouch walk to remain undetected. Though if you don’t have advanced sensors on someone with advanced sensors will be able to see you on radar if you are crouch walking.
If you have camo, you always want to crouch walk and use advanced sensors if you can.
It’s best used when you’re moving through the lesser-used routes to avoid detection.

Exactly. Camo doesn’t suck, ya just gotta play it carefully while ya have it equipped
i think it does suck

Same rules apply with the Prophets’ Bane.
Staying in the shadows and keeping a low profile is crucial when using Active Camo. You don’t want to move around too much, but you don’t want to expose yourself prematurely. Stay crouched as much as you can, stay off the ground and away from common traffic areas, and pick off stragglers one-by-one.
Active Camo can be instrumental in capturing armories in Warzone, especially if you have a OHK weapon. You can do some serious damage if you play carefully: Slice n’ dice!
But you see people are missing the point camo is supposed to feel powerful. That’s why in the old Halo games it was perfect and nobody really complain about it. Now most of time I grab camo and it seems like the MS picks up my movement and if you walk or run you can be seen clear as day which defeats the purpose in me grabbing it. People want to feel powerful and everyway but you can’t do that with the camos in Halo 5 for some stupid reason. Like Halo takes place like 500 years or so in the future but the camo for this game feels like something taken out of Harry Potter and not from the Covenant. I jus hope they can fix it for camo 2 or camo 3. If that can’t be done, then at least make sure it’s back to its former glory for Halo 6.
Active Camo doesn’t make you invincible. It has its limitations for balance reasons. Yes you’re visible on radar, but there’s always some blissfully unaware Spartan running around. I’ve wrecked havoc using camo, everything from capturing bases, destroying heavy ground vehicles, to straight up slaying others.
Wish the camo was like in Halo Ce.

Really? I remember using Active Camouflage without Advanced Sensors and not showing up on the tracker while I was walking at normal speed.

I’m reasonably certain; though it might be worth checking out in forge.
It’s definitely difficult, largely due I think to the fact that it’s just an entirely different playstyle to suddenly adapt to mid-match. Rather than being reactive to secondary objectives that suddenly present themselves, you’re constricted by time (exception: PB) to really zero in on a single objective until it’s complete before moving on to the next one (e.g. assassinating a sniper causing havoc, boarding a troublesome enemy vehicle, waiting with a high-damage power weapon for an AI boss to reach low health, etc.). If a big fat Spartan stands there firing in the other direction as you sneak on by, stopping to take one easy kill may expose you to fire from others in the area, eliminating your chance of completing the original objective.
I personally really enjoy the sudden switch to a parallel universe Splinter Cell-type game while the other 23 players rage on around you, and I think adapting to the limitations may produce some very satisfying kills for you! (If at level 5 Reqs, equipping the Speed Booster armor mod makes the regular pace of camo-usage a bit quicker.)
You DONT show up on radar with camo unless you sprint or go off a lift in arena. if a lower req camo in wz doesnt, I cant say. but the pickup in arena the camo is pretty strong because it allows you flank without being seen on radar and if you crouch you’re difficult to spot.
Source: 20 days in arena
Yeah, pretty sure you can walk at base speed and not show up on radar with camo, which is hugely valuable. It’s wicked for flanking and getting the jump on fools.
If you’re wanting camo to be a tool where you walk right into somebody’s face without seeing you, you’re doing it wrong.
Edit: Confirming it. Had St Louis qualifier footage on in the background, and ol’ Penguin is walking around off radar with the camo.

I didn’t check it out in forge, but I did make this rudimentary clip from both my pov (with camo) and the guy I’m getting ready to beat down’s pov. I clearly did not show up on his radar and I am walking full speed no crouching.
http://xboxdvr.com/gamer/DaxSeven09/video/26526739In response to the OP, if you’re complaining about Halo 5 camo then you clearly never played Halo 4 that camo was pretty close to useless. This one is fine, better than fine, just have to use it properly.
