Keep believing that because it doesnt affect you it diesnt affect anyone else. Customizing your spartan has been a key feature since 3, and its very important to many people, so locking everything behind a paywall is a huge detriment to a lot of halo players especially when the decision was talked about like it was to “better the game” when really its about milking fans

Just no. If you want HCS settings fine but don’t force the rest of us to put up with it. This is just awful. HCS should have their own playlists instead of forcing it. Bad enough that 343i doesn’t care enough to give us proper unlock systems but punishing players for wanting a preference is irritating.

The price isn’t even the worst part about it. It’s the fact you can’t even customise the armours you get in these 1000 Halo Coins bundles. I got one of those Team armours, the black and gold one, thinking it was the paint job and the helmet because of how it shows on the sidebar; imagine my surprise to find it’s an outfit of sorts I can’t even so much as put my emblem on.
I’m worried about the Campaign if the way this outright predatory F2P model for multiplayer is anything to go by.

I quite like ranked’s settings so I have to agree. Although, I do wish I could turn off crossplay.
Yeah, have it so people who buy the full game can unlock nearly every armor piece overtime, so that when you pay for the game you no longer have to worry about microtransactions.
It’s not fair that an armour coating can’t be used on all the armor cores, especially if you pay for that coating. I understand that different parts of armors can’t, but armor coatings should be different.
It’s too bad those old threads are gone.
I mean, so many predictions made, and so many things coming to fruition.

Maybe but the whole system is pretty bad in general. I seriously wish they had stopped this live service nonsense since it’s exactly the type of thing that could kill the PVP scene of Halo. The greed of this is very off putting.

We should be able to buy everything in the bundle separately, not be forced to pay 20 bucks up front for a bunch of stuff we might not even want.
Yes and no. The value of the bundle comes from the fact that it is a complete set.
If you were to buy everything one by one, you’d end up spending more since the nature of bundles is to be at a discount in contrary to single purchases, on top that would clutter the shop immensely. So I think having bundles is a good compromise. I think the biggest controversy stems from the fact that the MP just launched. Not everyone wants to invest into a Battle Pass, especially with the XP Challenges the game currently has so people look for other ways to customize their appearance but all of it is locked either behind the BP progression or a hefty paywal. I think the situation will progressively get better and I think I said this many times now, I hope 343i will introduce PvE earnable customizations so one does not have to be forced to spend to get ANY appearance unlocked.
I agree whole heartily, why do they have to lock the badass armor behind a paywall! Come on 343! Haven’t we suffer enough waiting 6 years for this game? Let us enjoy it for once!

I don’t even know why the slow battle pass progression gets more traction than this issue. This is something 343 needs to address and fix.
It really sucks because I love the zvesda helmet, helmet attachment and shoulder pads. But paying €20 to end up using just 4 of the items out of the entire set is ridiculous.
pretty sure the expansions will cost and i see no issue with that. can’t make everything free, just not good business.
i honestly don’t care about the cosmetics as i’ll never buy any. for example i’ve been playing r6 siege since launch and haven’t purchased any cosmetics and still play with stock skins. i just have zero interest in that side of the game.
same goes for any other game with mtx, store, cosmetics. i only play for enjoyment, i don’t care what my character looks like. i don’t even care about grinding, xp or unlocks.

I wouldn’t pay any extra money on cosmetics. Seriously guys. Rather use those bucks for a nice evening with friends, pizza, beer and a movie… or something else more meaningful.
