I’m talking about players that have a job and have like an hr to play before going out with friends.
where is the social playlist?
BTB and Infection get boring…
Warzone is eh
I was talking to a group of friends that stopped playing this game cause most playlist are competitive.
Most people I know have quit playing. Most I know don’t really like this Halo at all. I’m just on to read about the Reach update. I don’t think I’ll be playing H5 anymore and Halo 6, if there is one will be the first Halo game that isn’t an automatic purchase for me.
I had plenty of friends who played Halo most of which were long term fans of the franchise all of whome left now.
I still going to stick with the game because halo 5 is my favourite halo
There is a a massive focus on competitive play. With 343’s focus seeming to be on eSports, I’m thinking Halo 6 won’t be something I’ll purchase. I’m a casual player and just can’t compete. It seems though that is what 343 wants though.
I think it’s a lack of recognition to the casual gaming folk.
Good grief. Understand your demographics! Options! More social slayer modes, community maps, the list goes on.
Yeah, ESports is a thing and competitive Halo is out there. But your average joe who plays a few nights a week or on a sunday afternoon, We like to have social games and enjoy ourselves. We’re not interested in getting destroyed in arena modes.
Grifball, infection, social objective, social slayer, social duals, the list goes on…provide some action for the people who have left Halo. The people who had been there since day 1.
Stop focusing on the pro level and arena. Social is where it is at.
Oh and don’t stuff up warzone firefight. Give us the option to play locally with marines.
And bring back some double XP weekends! Or 1.5x XP. Just something to help the grind for Req points.
It’s not that they want to get rid of players they are just in the perfect storm right now so to speak… #1 so money driven they don’t give quality product any more, wonky servers, trying to see just how little content they can get away with, one big issue I have seen is apparently they still try contracting out stuff, haven’t fully learned their lessons from MCC. Also for some reason they can’t seem to find the middle ground for Halo. H4 way to casual and now H5 way to competitive for most. Why this is I don’t know. Why can’t they stick with the basic blue print that made Halo so great before is beyond me.

About the same here, even I am getting annoyed with the game. Just sitting here waiting for Overwatch and the CoD4 Remaster. I love playing competitively but the map and gametype rotation has become a bore.
It’s extremely ignorant to believe 343 is trying to alienate potential customers based on your personal whims. Warzone, grifball, and infection are all social as -Yoink-. I bet if you quit caring so much about your virtual stats you’d find the entire game is ‘social.’
I still enjoy a couple of matches from time to time but I don’t enjoy it as much as I want to.

This is true as well… the game is competitive as you make it. Players have always played to win. Just because they add the words social to the playlist doesn’t mean it’s social really.
However would it be that hard to give us two different stats… ranked stats and “social stats” … we used to have two different ranks why is it as games go on and consoles get more powerful we are getting less features?

I love halo more than any other franchise, but with my limited time to play (usually an hour or two) each day, I almost feel as if my experience doesn’t matter to 343 because I’m not spending all day grinding for req packs or spending real money to get reqs.
I agree. BTB and Infection is fun, but it gets boring after so many games.
Wait, 343 is running off people with jobs and social lives? -Yoink-. I guess I should just leave then. Thanks for the heads up.

I’m sorry what!?!?! you do realize the reason why they don’t play much is because of their jobs (which is their priority to pay for stuff so don’t put the blame on Halo 5 and its developers). If you want to get political about that go somewhere else, but don’t mention Halo 5 about it.
We still have social playlists…
And if it wasn’t competitive, it wouldn’t be fun, which btw has always been like this.

Their “social” playlists arent even social the entire damn game is based around the e-sports aspect and it has suffered greatly because of it. Seriouls y at this point just copy and paste Halo 3, you know the last halo to get this -Yoink- right.

I was wondering the same thing myself. Will MS give 343i the greenlight to begin work on Halo 6? Eventually, I’m sure they will, but this will be the first Halo game in franchise history that I don’t purchase on launch day.

I don’t know my fellow Spartan. I could care less about my k/d ratio and rankings in arena. But MP is not what’s alienating me.
Its the campagin and 343i’s continuous blunders and lack of transparency/honesty that is pushing me away from a franchise I used to love so dearly
