The campaign is an obvious drawback. One of the worst Halo campaign ever. So the only truly single player content is bad.
Then there is the skill system. How have they not fixed this yet? It’s terrible. The qualifying matchs are perfect because it puts you where you deserve to be. But then it switches to the worst system ever. Unless you are in a team of 4 you regularly get into a match with somone who goes 1 and 12.
I just finished a match where I had the most kills and the least amount of deaths, yet I LOST skill because my idiot teammates. So I did the best in the entire game, yet I lost skill because of my teammates while the person on the enemy team who got carried gains skill.
343, I am a good player. IDC that you want to drive this esport crap and team play.
I’M a good player. I deserve to be judged by my performance not some idiot who can’t hit an idle target. Lord how do you screw up such an easy system. Base it off skill! Why does little Timmy, who just gets carried every game deserve to be in diamond. There is no logic behind it.
Oh before you put “It promotes team play”
No, just no. What if their little brother is playing in that particular game and can’t even get a single kill (Happens often) You’re saying that I should be punished for their terrible play? You’re an idiot.
Here is some constructive critcism. Base it on skill, not wins.
People can have their opinions of the campaign’s story, but on a gameplay level there’s nothing wrong with it. You don’t even have to have your AI do anything.
343i isn’t responsible for the abilities of their players, that’s the players’ responsibility.
If you want to do good in a team based game, the team has to win.

Find a team and get good with the team, because that’s the definition of Team Slayer.

Social Playlists will rarely solve the problem. You’ll either get matched with people your skill (so basically Ranked), or match anyone, and stomp/get stomped.
Because this game is a team game, and if they based it purely on individual skills nobody would care about the team winning or losing. Also how could you say somebody who went 15-5 with 0 assists did better than someone who went 7-12 but had 10 assists?
I might set up a tent and roast some marshmellows… That is if the ranking system worked the way our OP is requesting… cuase zero deaths would eventually lead to Champion… Make a friend or 3 like the rest of the halo community…
I got by just fine by myself or with one other person. Not everyone likes playing with other people. You really want Halo 6 to tank because if all of us (The solo players) left you would cut the community in half.
Instead of pandering to the stupid esports crowd why don’t you make the games fun first and competetive second. Like every Halo before you took over.

Cause they Esport crowd would cry foul… I want the game fun first as well.

Wrong. In Halo 3 I was fine because I earned my skill in lone wolves, so I wouldn’t be held down by team members. The skill in 3 was amazing.

It is not their responsibilty if a player does bad. It is their responisibilty to put players where they deserve rank wise, which they have failed doing.
Also wrong I have been playing Halo since 1 and guess what? That was not a team game. It was a singleplayer game. Even when you did have LAN parties FFA was THE game mode to play.

Ummmm first of all the person in my game did 2 and 13 no assists. Not some made up example, an actual example. He was terrible.
Make it like halo 3. There was individual skill that you gained but your exp was based on wins.

That’s a pathetic excuse.
If if its team based, then why is it that the player that drags down the team in slayer and goes severely negative, while the team wins, gets promoted, while the player who tried his very best to carry his incompetent team to victory, loses and gets demoted. It’s a terrible system. And if I played with my own team of 4, then I will ruin the experience for other players who don’t have friends or reliable players to play with. You should not have to make your own team in order to get ranked fairly, that’s the WHOLE POINT OF A RANKING SYSTEM.

And about the little brother thing.
You realize you just proved my point? If it was individual skill I woundn’t need to worry about little Timmy because I wouldn’t lose skill because he sucked. Do I don’t get what you are debating.

Make a Halo 3 rank system.
Win games for EXp, do good in those games to get skill. You needed both to gains ranks. Also the SR is flipping stupid. The actual military ranking system was a lot cooler. But that’s for another rant.

I don’t see the part where you were in constant communication with your teammates and backing them up. Maybe the other team had better teamwork that over came your individual skill. ?
Am I the only one who goes into 4v4 game solo, expecting my teammates to not be good? It makes me pick up a headset and do call-outs. 9/10 times if we lose we lose by a 5 kill, 1 flag or 20 point margin.
If your’e a team player be a team player, if you are a solo player be a solo player. Don’t walk into a grocery store expecting them to change your tires, this -Yoink- not Wal-Mart.
