Like, the DMR exists. Why does reach get excluded in these types of challenges. Same with the CE pistol.

Yeah would be nice if they made the challenge work for just headshots in general and not tied to specific weapons, I don’t see the point in gatekeeping challenges from specific games

Didn’t even realize it was BR exclusive after doing a few matches of Reach Swat and seeing I made no progress.

Better question, why do they keep making this a challenge? What’s this, the third time in a row we’ve been told to get 500 matchmade headshots with the BR?

It wouldn’t even be that bad if it wasn’t restricted to the BR, I have almost 200 from playing a couple sessions of H4 now imagine you can get progress done with any precision weapon? The only challenge that would be “grindy” would be the 50 matches not that it would be a bad thing lol
I think the reason they did it that way was because of the medal update for H3… H3 really lagged behind the other games in xp and medals until now. So I guess it’s a way to celebrate the medal update for H3.

Just like the other this was an earlier challenge with same specifications, but with a different name. Yeah, it’s bad when you didn’t check the description. My “farming” style is check H2, H2A, H3, H4 with SWAT game mode only. But you still watch in H4 and not pick the DMR loadout.
But yeah, they should add all precision weapons for this: Magnum, BR, DMR, sniper rifle.
Number of appearances and consistent function across each title to my understanding, the BR has appeared 5 times to the DMR’s 2, and the Magnum is consistently different each game, albeit always headshot capable once shields are out of the picture.
Personally its why I’ve been advocating the Halo Online DMR get added to Halo 3 and potentially ODST, since then the headshot challenges could be opened further to include the DMR as well.
… that’s kind of silly, isn’t it? I would think the solution would be to accept headshots from any weapon while in matchmaking. Pistol, DMR, BR, Sniper, I don’t see why it should be limited to the BR when the reward isn’t specific to the BR (like the lucky shot challenge was)

I’d think so too, but 343 is odd, and seem kind of particular about consistency with stuff like this.
I think there was another challenge for magnum and DMR headshots, but i don’t think theyve used it for a long time because it was inconsistent balance-wise.
Because 343i are incompetent and don’t have the slightest clue as to what they’re doing.
There’s no reason why this should be the case and the title of the challenge doesn’t indicate it at all.
