I see a lot of people expressing that they like sprint and Spartan Ability, because it makes the game faster. I ask one question, why do you want Halo to be fast?
I mean, CE was faster than Halo 5 could ever hope to be.
Why would you want it to be slow?
People want to be able to get right back into the heat of the battle instead of walking 30 seconds to get to the fight.
To me faster means more exciting gameplay
Because GOTTA GU FAST!
I do not, however with the faster graphics people need o be fast. They are just stupid, as I only sprint when I KNOW combat is not close. Catching the sprinters makes me happy, as they “Did not go fast enough.”

^^^ this.
@op: sprint isn’t the only way to go fast either but it does give the impression. While it is fast in movement (compared to the current BMS)you will slow down once in an engagement which i’d argue actually slows things down. Sprint won’t be fast I was you get the ability to fight and move at the same time, but even then it still limits you as you can’t move in all four directions if sprint forces you to move forwards only.
Fast paced games are also a very good trend. As many would say, it excites players, brings tension, makes for exilerating gameplay, and much more.
For me, sprint allows you to reengage faster to a firefight or a location while your teammates continue to battle it out. Also the flanking ability for said position
I’m not going to comment on whether I like fast vs. slow gameplay more than the other, but I think H5’s gameplay opens up the possibilities for individual skill to shine through a little more, and exciting moments can happen as a result…
