With all the marketing, it seems like Sanghelios will play a major role in the game. Why do you think the characters are headed there? Possibly, a Guardian is located there and they hold they key to some major piece on the chess board…

i will stick my big long elite D ick inside your Putty hole mister
I would say that your theory of a “Guardian Sentinel” maintaining a localized presence on Sanghelios is accurate. Still, I like to hold on to the hope that it’s related to ONI’s little games from the Kilo-5 trilogy.

Sorry your topic kind of got derailed there… goodness. Thank you mods!
On topic, I hope it has something to do with the peace treaty between the humans and Sangheili. It would be cool if the Spartans went there as some kind of investigation. Like 100 elites were murdered by human weapons, and to maintain the peace accords the UNSC needs to find the murderer and bring them to the Sangheili for justice. This could tie in to Chief being branded a traitor/ being framed or something. Kind of a stretch, but it would be a cool vibe to be walking around Sanghelios wondering if the bloodthirsty citizens would attack you at any moment or something.
As much as people discredit the kilo five trilogy, it brought alot of attention to Sanghelios and their culture. Honestly I figured it was a matter of time before the war was brought to Sanghelios. Maybe it will change the minds/ feelings of elites for better or worse (worse figuring that ONI was kicking them while they were down).

Yeah, a bit too stretchy there, but undoubtedly an awesome idea! We all know how an angry Sangheili mob deals with those harboring an adversarial attitude. The tension of roaming the streets of a Sanghelios city, wondering if we would be ambushed or not, could be a great way to progress the story in a darker turn. Darker still would be forcing the player to trim down a mob of aggressing Sangheili with no choice, not only annoying the population, but making the Arbiter doubt the claims that the mob were attacking first, and further create a rift between the two factions.

I am really hoping this is the case.

And yet the Kilo-5 trilogy only ever showed that the Sangheili are stupid warriors who can’t do anything but fight good. Pretty much everything about them since then has effectively rendered that obsolete with Sangheili engineers working with the Huragok, they have been able to improve the Shadow of Intent, a booming weapon manufacturing industry and even a Sangheili prodigy designed MJOLNIR armor for Spartans. Halo 5 hopefully will explore their culture in a way that isn’t just a cliche of Proud Warrior Guys.

I wholeheartedly agree. It is my hope that the Sangheili will be shown at their best in Halo 5. Both in campaign and in multiplayer.
