So before I get started, let me describe my Halo 5 stats:
I haven’t played seriously in, oh, 2 years - my highest CSR was Plat 6 in FFA - and I own every REQ in Warzone, as well as every armor piece - I started playing Halo 5 on my Forza Edition Xbox One that I got for Christmas 2016, and later transferred to an Xbox One X when that released - I have 22 days, 22 hours, 22 minutes, and 19 seconds of multiplayer play time over the course of 3,388 completed games to my nameTL;DR: I was crazy dedicated to this game from the get-go, and have since moved on.
I saw that Eagle Precursor uploaded today on the front page of YouTube, and thought, "Wait, do people still play Halo 5? Bc like the last update was like 1.5 to 2 years ago (disregarding the map rotations). So I’m curious to hear why you guys still play this game, also tell me when you got the Halo 2 BR. I got mine around lvl 115-120, it’s been a minute so I forgot lol.
I still play Halo 5: Guardians because it has the best Forge to date and me and the missus play Warzone FF a lot. As for when I got the Halo 2 BR, I cannot remember. Definitely before I hit SR100 though.
Stopped playing shortly after getting to SR152. MCC is where it’s at now, a much more fun game over all. The husky raid playlist in H5 was cool while it lasted though.
Cause I dont really like any of the other games that have come out recently and cause Im almost to 152.
That and most of the games that ARE out have been out for like six months already and I’ve missed most of the exclusives so…no real point in starting late. Least, thats how I feel.
And I still have fun honestly.
I play halo 5 because it is the only one I have and can play online. additionally, MCC feels more like a grind than halo 5, mainly because I get only xp and banners. I admit, halo 5 does solve this with req packs, it feels so much more satisfying to complete a commendation or get enough req points to get a req packs and get some shinies from it. also want to complete the REQ collection and possible get 152.
I play every day, or usually night, that I can. I have played Halo since it was called Marathon. It is the only game I play. I tried others at various times, but never stopped playing Halo. I have never had a positive k/d. I read science fiction when I was younger and the Halo world is derived from stories I read and loved. Being in Halo world makes me happy - most of the time. I am 63 years old.
Yo nunca tuve la oportunidad de jugar Halo 5 en consola.
Por eso me pase a pc, porque es gratis.
Si el modo multijugador-xbox live gold de xbox se hiciera gratis, lo jugaría.
I actually haven’t played consistently since November, but I’ve been getting the urge to play again soon. The reason that I played as long as I did was I like the gameplay.
I don’t remember exactly when I got the H2BR because that was years ago, but I remember it was soon after starting gold packs. I do remember that the Phaeton and Phaeton Helios were the last 2 things I unlocked

I think halo 5 has a very strong multiplayer and mcc just gets a bit stale for me after a few hours of playing it. Mcc just feels unrewarding knowing getting the max rank will positively never happen

Can you find games pretty easily on H5 at the moment? PC player here, discouraged about dead game modes on my platform, but always wanted to pull the trigger and try 5.

Kudos for enjoying and playing at an age over sixty. My hat is tipped to you.
I play h5 because i still like playing ranked arena and no other game for me compares to skill wise. Apex, Fortnite, PUBG were not very fun and i found the skill cap i guess u can say to low. I loved the past Halos from CE to 4 but in MCC compared to the originals it doesnt feel right like h3 feels “slower” or “choppy” idk the best word to describe the feeling but MCC doesnt do it for me, I had such high hopes for the game when it launched to. I mean h ce-h4 all in 1 game are you kidding me? But when i played it i just found myself disappointed in every single game on mcc and i wasnt the only 1 of my friends that felt tgis way either out of the 9 friends i know that played mcc none still play it or even played it for than 1 months. Out if the 9 that played h5 all played for more than a year and a half im the last obe still playing it just last month the last 1 of my friends thats was playing stopped sadly.

There’s something beautiful about this post. Your phrase “Halo world” reminds me of why this game enraptured me for so long.
I still don’t have the H2 BR… Thanks for reminding me.
