Why do you really hate halo 4?

A simple thread where you can vote on the poll to inform us on what really makes you feel disgusted. If you love it simply say you do.

Please don’t tell us that everyone is crying etc. You either hate it and tell us why or love it and tell us why.

Right now… it’s only because of the level cap. Stuck at 70 for over a week. Why bother with this stupid play before XX and receive codes through email for the other specs?

That is a valid point. They come up with random caps and hinder those that don’t want to throw excessive amounts of money for something they will give for free anyways.

I wouldn’t say I “hate” the game, but these spawns are driving me nuts.

Nothing like spawning right into the spot where my teammate just took a sniper’d bullet to the face.

Oh, and the lag that comes with connecting to people half a world away.

And the level designs.

The lack of big team CTF

Hmm, maybe there are a lot of things I don’t like after all.

Yep. once you really think about it there is a lot they screwed up in the end. Looked promising right up until it launched.

Why isn’t the community an option?

I don’t hate Halo 4. I hate 343i.

They’re the slackest game dev team of a AAA title probably this generation. How can they ship a game with no matchmaking system implemented to ensure players get the most fun, best quality games possible, and then completely (and rather arrogantly) dismiss and ignore the problem for 3 weeks? I’m absolutely disgusted that I had to pay $130 USD for this joke of an excuse for ongoing online service.

Why does the TP automatically assume everyone agrees with him.

Anyone notice this trend with complainers? Both unconstructive and egotistical. I’m all for the people who provide good, well-reasoned arguments as I agree on some points but I swear, most of you must have down syndrome.

You’ve taken my words…

When it works, it is fun.

But the glitches and poor design decisions are putting off players and affecting game outcomes.

Ever joined a game and thought your cloaking shield is malfunctioning only to find your loadout has reverted to default. Ever gone to pick up a weapon and nothing happen and you look around to find it and then die… all because the weapon has decayed after 12 seconds. Ever gone to shoot someone and then get thrown into the black screen scoreboard and left there waiting for the game to restart only to return to find that someone had got back early and killed you.

It’s instances like these (and others) that really annoy the hell out of me. Otherwise I do enjoy the game. It’s just lots and lots of minor niggles joining up and becoming one big confirmation that the game wasn’t run through QA… or if it was run through QA that the QA team had no idea what to look for in a Halo game because some of the faults are amazing.

Like the commendation that tells you to kill Elite Generals. But as there are no Elite Generals in Halo 4 it seems to be a bit of a non-starter. What you HAVE to do is kill Elite Commanders instead. General and Commander are two different ranks altogether. It is like being told to kill Colonels but instead have to kill Captains.

To be fair, this poll should have included an “I like Halo 4” option.

I like halo 4

Please don’t offend those that have down syndrome by saying out like that. I said either post if you like it or post if you don’t like it. I never assumed everyone agreed with me.

I just want a “Prefer Good Connection” search option.

Nothing because I love it. All though I do wish they would hurry up with a griffball playlist!

The ui was the only good thing about Reach, in fact it was the best in the series, and they scrapped it. They scrapped it in favour of what looks like a horrible advertisement for Windows 8. That alone…

I’ll be straightforward as per the op:

Chief sucks. He’s not fun to play as. He feels like a reskinned Noble Six with slightly better performance. Also, he should be better than a Spartan IV with his “upgraded” firmware and the power up from the Librarian.

Vehicles suck. Their balancing is pitiful (more firepower and accuracy, less speed and stability). I like occasionally blowing -Yoink- up but I had other uses for vehicles, including the Shade turret (which could be pushed around, used for launches, used to clip through walls, bump through walls). H4’s vehicles simply don’t work: Banshees are good at breaking out of maps but they are nerfed to death in combat, Ghosts are prone to clip a wing against something and slow down or spiral out of control, Hogs still flip easily and have a hard time driving on uneven terrain and are terrible at splatter

Enemies are lame, especially the Covies. Elites spam grenades and -Yoink!- power weapons. Nothing special. Prometheans are annoying. The only ones I like are the Knights.

Campaign sandbox is essentially the same as MP.

Nothing new to look forward to in the campaign (there’s a lack of exclusive vehicles, exclusive weapons. Pelican and Broadsword were already revealed in the renders. There are only 2 discovered Legendary exclusive easter eggs).

Spartan Ops is the only thing with potential, except it’s unbalanced, lacks combat variety and unique levels, and lacks incentive (infinite lives, limited and easy challenges, poor XP payout. It’s easier to throw yourself at the enemy than actually try. And it’s better to play on Easy because the XP payout is based on how fast you complete a mission, not how well you do).

if you don’t like the game, get a refund, use it a coaster, just stop crying about it.

i heart halo 4.

Love it, except for lag games.

Once I’m a bit more skilled, I’m sure the ranking system will miff me till put in place too

I’m not going to give up on a game I once put heart and time into.

Once I start, I can’t back out no matter how much I despise it. It’s a code I live by.
