Hello I know many people don’t like Halo 5’s campaign due to it’s plot, story, and characters.
But I hear very few people that actually like the campaign. Why?
I want to hear why because I am not a huge fan like most and I am curious.
I’ve always loved Halo’s exterior environments. If nothing else, the visuals of the Sanghelios levels and some of the details put into Genesis look amazing.
Only thing that brings me back to halo 5 is the custom game browser which every halo needs to implement.
But… thats counteracted by the lack of control hosts have in their own lobbies when theyre running.
If you get a scumbag troll join your only option is to end the game to kick them in the lobby. BUT again ending a custom game and returning to the lobby has a very VERY high chance of freezing and crashing all your players. (On xbone at least)
oh and also hosts cant even change other players teams they have to ask people to which makes some game types a pain in the -Yoink- to set up

I agree in a way. But what about Halo 5’s campaign?

the campaign was okay, just wouldve enjoyed more chief time and if the game had an actual boss battle between locke and chief like all the games advertisements were suggesting. But all we get is a 30 seconds cutscene of them punching each other a few times
Instead you fight warden the eternal like 8 times, if the next halo doesnt have promethians ill be happy. So sick of fighting promethian enemies.

This. Some of the environment aesthetics in Halo 5 are awesome and well worth the revisit. Sunaion has to be one of my favorite levels in the entire series in terms of visuals. Pity that Genesis gets underused as an environment exploration-wise. I’d much rather had a slower opening to the Blue Team mission that introduced the planet.
On another note, Halo 5 also gets major kudos from me for some great infantry combat encounters. Great variety in approaches, verticality, and weapon pickups. Pity the hostile AI is dumb as bricks, so some of the impact is lessened. If Infinite keeps the encounter design and gunplay while improving AI and vehicle sections, it will be the best playing Halo campaign by a huge margin.
I enjoyed the details in the environment as well as skull hunting.
I found the visuals to be amazing, and finding skulls actually felt like a small adventure, and don’t get me started on the easter eggs and the req variants of weapons on most of the campaign levels, I just wish i didn’t have to fight 3 warden eternals on legendary, all at the same time…
apart from that, the gameplay is fun, and the stupidest of glitches like spirits jammed between buildings (i’m talking to you Suanion) is really fun when you need to take a break from fighting, and run up a spirit into normally impossible to reach areas. also there is a platform in the last level in the arena which is by god, the one thing that saved my legendary run with my friend. so now you know what i like and do in the campaign (apart from raging at jackal snipers 1 tapping me).

Since Cortana is likely going to be the focus of the series going forward we’re probably going to see more of the Warden. Hopefully not as often.
I think Prometheans and flood in the same sandbox could be interesting.
I liked the gameplay, but not the story. The Sanghelios levels were quite fun.
Everything like Tacymist. And I could spend my whole life in Sanghelios.
honestly, another favourite was finding skulls when I’m looking for a safe hiding/sniping spot in legendary difficulty.
Warzone and infection (if there aren’t any clans storming the servers)
I like halo 5 multiplayer but I hate spawning with the same weapons in super fiesta (non power ) all the time and not getting proper physics in the game it’s like I’m hacked
Gradually beginning to hate it actually.
I love every Halo to death. Even 4 and 5.

if you ask me, the whole req system definitely hurt most of the game, especially warzone, even though it was a solid concept. but your right, halo 5 definitely has some great custom games, and I think that is because the req system is so freely available, like spawning with any random weapon, to make fiesta that bit more interesting. And spawning within a vehicle definitely makes custom vehicle games way easier.
Story aside, I enjoyed aspects of it. Running down the Guardian on Genesis was absolutely badass! Running around the baddies and getting a flank often times felt awesome, and I genuinely had fun with the weapons down mission where you could explore around and find out about the local area. I loved the grunt humour and silly little easter eggs hidden around, the art was phenomenal at times (even if it is a departure from classic Halo) and the vehicles are easily the best in the franchise.
But a lot of the gameplay make it a very hard game to play, but that is kinda off topic so I’m going to chuck it into this spoiler.
(its the only Halo game which I have not replayed). The first thing that comes to mind is the squad mechanics which were cool in theory but not very practical. They would not pick up power weapons, they never really did damage, if I wanted them to shoot a specific enemy I would have to look at that enemy. At that point why not just shoot it myself? Worst of all, the revive system was like the world -Yoink- game of dominoes and I would never actually get revived! It was infuriating.
In Halo 5 you never really get the chance to use human weapons, apart from at the beginning of levels and on Meridian, you would usually end up with a Carbine or a Light rifle as your primary weapon throughout the game which wasn’t awful but just kinda got repetitive.
Spartan Abilities did not really add to the campaign, with the biggest thing being destructible walls; which honestly could have been simply open hidden walls.
Overall I really enjoyed Halo 5 as its own game. I think it would have been better remembered if it was a janky beginning to a new and completely different franchise, but its not. Its a Halo game and they messed that one part up.

Me gusta la velocidad que se usa en todos los aspectos y la cantidad de medallas es increíble. although I miss multiplayer on the same console.
