Why do you fear change so much?

What´s so bad about perks?

Now, let´s forget CoD and Battlefield and everything, even if 343i add the same perks and classes to Halo it would still be different.

I would like to remind every one, that each one of us play different, and have different strategies.

Perks are a way to explode that, to have tools to help you play th way you play.

And about the “unbalanced” or “random” argument:

Just because CoD has (some) unbalanced Perks, doesn´t mean that Halo has to.

Because change means that Halo loses some of what makes us play that, rather than just buy each iteration of Cod that is churned out. Perks (if they were confirmed to be in) are not in keeping with the arena style of gameplay that Halo was founded on, ditto for AA’s. \

It’s perfectly acceptable to fear change if it’s not perceived to be in the right direction.

because halo has always been about EARNING your advantages and having a level playing field. thats why AA’s and equipment bothered alot of people was because you didnt earn your advantage by selecting it from a menu, you had to fight for it then have the skill to use it.

Compare halo reach to the trilogy games and there is your answer my son.

Well considering Reach had more players than Halo 3 did, I’d have to say Halo: Reach.

And where is the mythical Reach community? It’s nothing compared to what Halo 3’s was, because most of them have gone off to play the next game (BF3, MW3) rather than stick around. Reach did not stand out enough in the genre to keep it’s playerbase.

Reach skunk-sprayed its playerbase.

Are you talking to me? If so you need to learn to quote… Also here is the soruce Here

Beileve it or not, Reach still has 600,000 players a day to this very day on weekends.

Even if we find a way to “balance” (it is impossible) people wont have to earn there power up and instead perks will turn into a ‘choose perk A because perk B, C, D and E are pointless’ or ‘super spam LB to SSSSSSSUUUUUUUUUUURRRVVVIIIIIIIIVVVVEEEE’

600,000? you sure?

On weekends, yes. But on Weekdays it gets about 400,000 to 500,000. Source

What part of balanced didn´t you read?

I will complain too if they´re unbalanced, but you´re complaining just for knowing there are perks even if the´re a good idea.

Why a good idea?, i said it, it´s a way to let us play the way we play.

And don´t say “Halo has always”, because that´s not an argument, it´s just a prove you fear change.

If you really don´t want Halo to be like CoD, you´re doing it wrong, unless you actually want them to release the same game with minor tweaks every 3 years, like Activision does yearly.

And no, Reach is not unbalanced, not even Armor Lock is overpowered, the complains about Hologram are dumb (learn how to recognize one). The invisibility is annoying, but it´s supposed to work that way( to confuse the other team).

After 2 years it is still 6th most played… I really hate how people say Reach was a dissapointment because they have no idea what they are talking about.

In the last 24 hours wich is the same as halo 3

I welcome change, just as most gamers do… even if you get the fanboys on the forums crying about new stuff

If it’s too difficult for you to guess who I was talking too I apologize.

Plyers per day =/= community. No one I know plays Reach as much as they played Halo 3, and I have never met someone on Reach who I would then play with again later.

No it doesen’t, count the zeros carefully.

> And where is the mythical Reach community? It’s nothing compared to what Halo 3’s was, because most of them have gone off to play the next game (BF3, MW3) rather than stick around. Reach did not stand out enough in the genre to keep it’s playerbase.

Players per day =/=Quality.

Bassed on your logic, CoD is better than Halo, wich contradicts your fear for change.

i fear change because if bungie doesn’t like it and complete step 7, they maybe will ban us from playing H4 XD

Please explain how you would do this?
