I seriously dont understand what gratifications do you get from farming? I mean you take the easy way out just to get a cosmetic item in an online video game, you ruin the experience for others, no one likes you, and after a while your rep is gonna go down. Unless I’m missing something farming is not worth the trouble. The only way I can see it as being beneficial is those of you that do farm want to boost your ego by “beating up on scrubs” over the internet. Like seriously how low are you gonna stoop down just to get a fake armor set? Its pathetic that you do this and its pathetic that people actually defend this stuff.
Hmm, it is not just about armor. You can pad your overall stats by farming Warzone. Other then that, sure it can be about ego boosting I guess?

in all honesty I do think many over exaggerate farming and are simply just getting their -Yoinks!- kicked, and then there’s the scenario where the winning team has all three caps and are at your door step but your team then puts up enough fight to at least keep said winning team out of the core room, which I think many mistake that as farming as well. How am I to end said “farming” if you won’t let me in?
They do it to get the Achilles Armor. Company Kill Commendations have to be complete to get it.

Padding stats is the same as ego boosting, you’re padding your stats for a reason.

How would map design fix it? Nothing is going to stop people from getting boxed in unless they make you spawn on other side of the map when boxed in, which by the way would be a good way to make your core easier to destroy, “if” said team isn’t farming.
Um, I used to enjoy it and do it occasionally and the guys I did it with mainly did it for weapon commendations and pleasure. But now almost all of them have seen the light while I just got bored of mowing the lawn. Please don’t persecute me though, you were the one that asked.

Map design is the main reason farming occurs, there are only 2 ways out of your home base(except for raid on apex 7) and they’re both very easy guard if you have a full fireteam! Who’s bright idea was that? They could easily fix it by adding multiple routes out of your base that way its a lot harder to control all exits its a very simple yet frustrating problem and acting like it cant be fixed is untrue.

But I’d then say it’s the team that gets boxed in their own fault for not being good enough to stop it. It takes a good team to box you in, it takes a good team to not allow it. The issue of farming goes beyond just map designs. Simply letting people kill people on objective playlists is a flaw, that allows farming. Is it bad map design if you can get farmed on colosiuem? Truth? Eden? There’s more than just two entries/exits on those maps and it still happens, it’s on the players, not necessarily the maps. Same applies to even the original games that again, had many entries/exits. Farming is a -Yoink- move, I fully support you, but it’s still due to a group allowing themselves to get farmed in the first place whether they can help it or not.
Req points, & Commendations, since some weapons don’t drop in arena, (That I know of). That & as a solo player all I can do is “Go with the flow”.
How do you farm is the more pertinent question for me cause I can’t seem to be able to farm -Yoink-.

I just hate this game and am either bored or annoyed when playing it unless I am slaughtering something and since there is no PvE mode I can’t do that. I don’t really care how people see me and I don’t feel superior when doing that, its just…fun? Eh, I forgot why it felt fun, I honestly don’t have the energy to care anymore.

I’m talking mainly about warzone farming. Its pretty difficult to not “allow” yourself to get farmed when your against a full company, it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to be “better” than your opponent just a couple of neanderthals with a bit of communication can take down even the most veteran of players. Warzone was designed with a bunch of flaws and its pretty obvious, although farming might not be fully stopped in warzone there are A LOT of ideas 343 can implement to mitigate or prevent the effects of farming.
Because we can and there’s nothing you can do about it. People will play how they see fit.
Why would anyone post reasons for why they farm, when you just -Yoink–talk them after they give their honest reason?

I can report you guys. People are supposed to play how the game is intended to be played not “how they see fit” This isnt an mmorpg. There is a goal and you are required to meet that goal in a sportsmanlike manner. (There is the whole unsportsmanlike report section for a reason)
