Just wondering. Obviously people will still play Halo 4. More then enough to find a few games. Is it competition? It’s not spite, is it?

Well a lot of people have been sucked into playing CoD, and people hope it won’t affect Halo 4’s sales. Less sales = less population = less money for 343i/Microsoft = Not making quality Halo = Abandoning Franchise.

Sales are still high for Halo games, even Reach had high initial sales.
Sure people eventually switch games, some don’t own live.
Personally I don’t care about another game in regards to the games I stay with.

I saw the latest OXM, and all I saw was Halo 4 in the corner but no Black Ops 2.

What are you talking about? I would give anything to have never heard of a Call of Duty past Modern Warfare
Halo 4 is basically going to be the world’s first impression of 343. And even if it’s the best game ever made, if BO2 manages to convince a good number of sheep, sorry, players to get it over 4, than that will stand out in most people’s minds before “is the game good”.
If Halo 4 can’t stand up to CoD: Future Warfare, sorry, Black Ops 2, in all its generic cut-and-paste glory, than things won’t look good for 343.

By massive population, you mean all the people who have no skill and suck at halo and give up because they get killed a million times.

You’ve got a good idea about the population and people thing. But hey, Call of Duty is made by two different companies. The ones making Black Ops two aren’t The ones that made modern warfare. This is the Company that actually makes quality campaigns rather than ones that could have been made in a month.
Still, most Halo fans are just going to look at the title, see the words, “Call of Duty”, and say that it sucks before ever playing it. Same with Call of Duty fans and how they look at Halo. The communities are either neck and neck at each other, or just don’t care which game is which.
everybody knows CoD is kind of Halo’s biggest rival in the FPS world.
It started way back with COD4 and Halo3 both being launch games for the 360.
It is a very, shall we say, bitter rivalry.
Hmmm I think I heard of call of duty, didn’t they have that game “big red one”?
I wouldn’t know, halo, fallout, and red dead redemption. In that order. That’s my library.

What’s funny is that I’m pretty sure that at all of the Call of Duty forums, people are talking about the same thing. “Don’t buy Halo, but Call of Duty” while having to deal with the fact that their game is changing.

Don’t worry, I was only joking. I don’t care for CoD, but I can see why others can (see, not understand), so I usually just let them do what they do. The FANS, on the other hand, don’t make that good of an impression in me. Most of them, anyway.
Actually, I’m thrilled about this new CoD! Now the more… undesirable fans can’t use the “it’s more realistic and that makes it better drool” argument. Stupid fricks…

Most of my friends (many CoD fans) are getting it solely for the zombies
