Why do you all think H4 is better than Reach?

So I’ll be on the forums and find some negative thread, and each one has some annoying comment like this. “H4 wasn’t as good as H3 but at least it’s better than Reach lol” This comment is everywhere, so I ask why? Yes, many people did not enjoy Reach as much as H3, but truly is H4 better? Let’s look at most of the complaints that people had in Reach:

Reach

-Armor Abilities
-Bloom
-CoD elements
-Mediocre maps
-No ranking system (XP based)
-No Bleed through
-Overpowered Grenades
-Weak Vehicles

What was “fixed” in H4

-AA’s: Nope. Still there, and Active Camo is more deadly than ever. (Sprint is a basic AA for all Spartans)
-Bloom: You got me there, but at least Reach had a TU and a balanced DMR.
-CoD elements: Full blown loadouts, hit markers, and nade indicators. Yeah, much less CoD stuff.
-Mediocre Maps: Eh, Exile is alright most are way too large and clustered.
-No ranking system: Takes about a few weeks to hit sr130, along with Dew XP and Spartan ops.
-No bleed through: Again, you got me there.
-Overpowered Grenades: Still really strong, explosives is probably more powerful than Reach’s nades.
-Weak vehicles: Even weaker than Reach’s, plasma pistol+plasma nades at spawn ruin vehicular combat.

So, other than a touch here and there, some better graphics, and a better campaign; what makes H4 better? I enjoy H4 to some extent, but what makes it better than Reach?

Point of this thread: We wanted a Halo 3 sequel, not a Halo: Reach sequel.

Because people have different opinions than yours? Why is this such a new concept to people?

Of course people have different opinions, but I am asking what makes H4 better?

2 reasons why

  1. The Campaign didn’t suck and make me so sick to my stomach that I had a hard time enjoying the rest of the game

  2. Cortana died, that made me really happy

And the answer is opinions.

I find the overall game mechanics in Halo 4 far superior to Reach. Halo 4 has some serious potential. Just needs a true classic playlist, ranked playlists, and small quality arena maps.

Infinitely better sandbox

Better maps - LOL SWORDBASE

Gameplay mechanics - improved

Speed of everything was increased

Better net-code for sure

Grenades do not bring doom to all things when thrown

AA’s were balanced much better than Reach excluding jetpack and camo - AKA god-tier

I would go on and elaborate more but I am in a hurry. =/

I hate both.

However, reach was more tolerable.
