Why do we need to hold x to interact, but M&K users don’t?

Maybe pressing X on a controller has a higher chance of being unintentional. So hold x not press

Where keyboard is using more fingers for more functions and having to hold would mean impaired movements

Hey, stop gaslighting people

Offering a potential explanation in the absence of compelling info as to what you may be witnessing isn’t gaslighting.

Suggesting you put your assertions to the test and compare inputs across variable situations to see if there is in fact a difference isn’t gaslighting.

Offering personal anecdotal testimony about experience with the mechanics from a different input’s perspective isn’t gaslighting.

Reading all of that and then refusing to accept or even discuss any other possibility other than your own flimsy stance and then insinuating foul play of others trying to get a better idea of what you’re experiencing is gaslighting.

Congratulations, you played yourself :tada:

Another M&K user here. I’m pretty sure we hijack the same way controller players do. The same button is used to enter a vehicle, board a vehicle, and hijack a vehicle.

The way to test this out is to go into a custom game and try hijacking with both a keyboard and a controller. I don’t know for sure if tapping it works or not but I’m under the impression that I have to hold down the key. If I’m trying to hijack I might start holding down the key before the prompt appears.

Maybe this is a de-sync issue? You might be able to test this yourself by plugging in a keyboard and mouse into your Xbox and trying it out in a local game.

Grappleshot Hijacking dude.
You can hijack at any speed with that thing on your wrist.

Yeah, obviously. I was referring to normal hijacking. Grapplejacking is the cheesiest part of this game.

I play on a Turtle Beach Recon controller with paddles to help with utilizing equipment.

Yes but on m&k holding the input is optional. On controller, it is required that you hold it for approximately half a second. This is in stark contrast to actions that can be done instantly. For example… When you hold jump to clamber, the action is performed as soon as it is allowed. When you try to pick up a flag or swap weapons, though, controller users are forced to hold x

Bro I’m literally just telling you I have to hold x to pick up guns and that’s bad, it’s not up for debate

At the beginning of Aquarius when there is a ‘BR’ or ‘Commando’ right in front of our spawns. I never get the weapon and I’m on controller. Never really thought that MnK players had a better chance of grabbing it first.

And I’m telling you I have to hold “F” to do the same damn thing, yet you’re trying to convince everyone that I (MNK players) somehow have an advantage for doing The. Same. Damn. Thing.

You wanna talk about why it is that we both have to hold the interact button to get it to function when we should be able to tap it to get it to work, but this isn’t a Controller vs MNK conversation when we’re both doing the same thing.

You’re absolutely correct, it’s ridiculous that you’re trying to push the idea that there’s a difference.

dude to swap or pickup a weapon with mnk you have to hold it. just pressing does nothing

you know what… just because some other people share the same perspective, I did a little research and it seems like you at least have an advantage when it comes to hijacking. That doesn’t require you to hold a key

Well share with the class then, please post the link(s).

If a vehicle is moving we still have to hold the key in a pre-emptive manner to try & get the hijack.
The window of opportunity on a moving vehicle is too small to be relying on one quick time single press.
Whatever advantage you think pc players on KBM have with this is nonsense.
