Lots of people are asking “Should the Rookie or Buck be in Halo 4?” “Maybe Jorge or Jun survived and ended up in Halo 4.” Why can’t we ever get over the fact that spinoff characters are just that, and that it’s best they stay in their own game? There’s really no logical reason for characters in anything other than the original Halo games to show up in Halo 4.

buck is the only spin off character i want to see. noble team is all dead and they were terrible characters

Because people develop and affection for these characters. After playing hours of Firefight and having Buck adding commentary I sorta want him around to provide some humor when I’m up to my -Yoink- in Crawlers.
I wouldnt really consider cannon events in a series to be spin off games. I wouldnt consider any of the characters in reach or ODST to be spinoff characters.
The reason people are curious about these characters is because they want to know more about them or are hopeful fans of those characters that wish to see more of them. Its not entirely impossible that they could be easter eggs in halo 4…except for jorge…Hes dead as hell
