Why do we have playlist feedback threads?

I hate to be the negative Nancy but I don’t like how these feedback threads work, if at all. Pages full of feedback and no action. It’s pretty clear that this feedback is being ignored, put to the side. I mean whats the point?

Ignoring these feedback threads needs to stop. It’s hindering the game badly. Adding gametypes like Snapshots FTW and Shotgun Ricochet is not spicing up the playlist, it’s just giving me a reason not to play. But will they be removed and be put in Action Sack where they belong? Probably not. Not at least until 343 take action to these pages of feedback.

Granted some feedback clearly is taken in but there is still a lot of work to be done in easy fixes and small changes. e.g. Team Doubles is a competitive playlist. Infinity Doubles is not competitive and highly unbalanced. Just the other day I went 24-0 with a friend thanks to the snowball effect allowing me to restock me Railgun ammo.

It does seem to be completely ignored. But snapshots as a gametype is fine. The rest I agree with.

People have been asking for infinity doubles to be the last voting option since the beginning of time and 343 has ignored everyone. People have been asking for Complex removed from swat since the beginning of time, no action.

The Matchmaking Systems team reviews the War Games Feedback section regularly, and takes all feedback into consideration when updating Halo 4’s playlists, map/gametype offerings, voting options, settings, and more.

The problem is the appearance of inaction. Replies from 343i employees anywhere in the forums are rare, to say the least. When 99% of the feedback earns no response from anyone at 343i, or leads to no substantial change, people naturally feel that their opinions are being ignored. Without any kind of acknowledgment or changes to the game, posters have no way of knowing whether their comments will even be noticed, regardless of whether the Matchmaking Systems Team is agonizing over them or not.

That is not to say that 343i must reply to every post and every poster. However, a little more frequency in replies (and a little more substantive ones than “thanks for the feedback”) would go a long way to making people feel as though their opinions actually matter.

Then why is Complex still in SWAT? It’s like the most requested map-related feedback in the entire thread. C’mon guys.

Probably because they’ve also seen how much my dad LOVES that map in SWAT. I’ve tried convincing him he’s part of the problem but he absolutely refuses to listen to me. :frowning:

I have to say that I believe 343i does not update/fix playlists fast enough. I can understand the Original Poster.
I basically believe matchmaking does not get updated enough at the proper cadence.

And boilerplate responses like this one are the main reason why we don’t believe you.

Seriously, they’re worse than no response at all. It’s the most lame attempt ever to make us think you’re paying attention when you’re clearly not.

You’re not fooling us one bit. Hundreds of threads and posts without response speak more loudly and clearly than “The Matchmaking Systems team reviews the War Games Feedback section regularly, and takes all feedback into consideration…”

Bull. You do what you want. It shows.

Honest answers here in these forums will do more to increase population than some stupid new gametype.

Stop ignoring us. Stop avoiding us. INTERACT with us. We appreciate that, and it will show.

They could always not have feedback threads.

Plus, I don’t think 343i needs to postboost their accounts by saying “Okay” to every response.

343 would have their hands full working on the upcoming halo title, that should be their biggest focus, but I agree, a few replies, or acknowledgments about all the feedback wouldn’t go astray

No one is asking for every post to be acknowledged with an OK.

Some questions get asked over and over and over again. Some have been asked since November 7th 2012. We didn’t even get a damn “OK”.

That, and that some of the things they do, supposedly in response to the community, are totally not anything the community asked for.

They say they’re listening. The population numbers say they’re not.
