why does everyone here not like(hate) call of duty?
The funny part is we as a community are doing the exact same thing as we do call of duty when we hate on it.
Only focusing on bad points of the game not the good.theres lots of good things about cod, same with halo 4.
But people i think just can be to closed minded to not give it a try.
We don’t hate it, we just prefer Halo (and we are ticked off because every one is like “DUR HALO=CAL OF DUTYZ LOL GAME GONNA SUK!”) but we are not hating on COD
I’ve played CoD. I thoroughly did not enjoy it. I can see where some of its gameplay elements could be a positive influence, but Halo being derivative of CoD only shows how far Halo has fallen. Every other FPS used to be a clone or take direct influence from Halo (including Call of Duty) but now Halo has to pander to the new king’s court. It’s disappointing that 343’s notion of “innovation” is to put a new spin on the current market leader’s ideas.
I like CoD its pretty fun especially when you play with friends! Yes it gives me headaches and I want to kill my TV sometimes but its fun, However I prefer Halos gameplay much much more
Call of Duty is the cancer that is killing videogames.
It is basically the same thing year after year but with a new campaign and minor changes to the multiplayer. The worst part is that developers take a lesson from Infinity Ward and they try to make FPS games more like CoD to appeal to it’s audience coughBattlefield 3cough, which means FPS games which were unique start to become close-quarters crap-fests.
Those are just my two cents though, my opinions are not representative of the entire community.
I’ve been a Halo fan since 2003 and a Call of Duty fan since the first was released (as well in 2003). I do not care one bit that they share from each other because I absolutely love both. Sure, I don’t care much about the newer installments of CoD due to the incredible repetition, but at its core, they are very fun games.
And since Halo 3, I’ve cared less and less about the gameplay of the series. Its getting stale, resting on its laurels, and continuing to use the same bargain store-brand ingredients. Things need to change. If 343i fails at delivering an incredibly fun experience for Halo 4, I’ll be incredibly appreciative that they tried something different from what we’ve seen in the franchise.
I’d rather see them crash and burn with their heads held high than see them on their high horse just following Bungie’s cookbook.

From my experience playing the game, it is not balanced and feels like brainless action. I have barely played COD since COD2, but whenever I play at my buddy’s house I destroy people.
Unbalanced shallow gameplay that lacks any real substance is why I don’t like it.
Everybody hate’s CoD because of it dethroning Halo as the most played game on Xbox Live.
Truth of the matter is let the casual’s flock to CoD. That way 343 doesn’t have to build game’s that cater to them and build game’s that cater to real Halo fan’s.
Its not killing video games, just distracting mindless sheep, but most of my ps3 friends would try halo over cod(there bored)
And most members just put OMGz COD SUCKs CHiefZ yoink.

Since when is BF3 like CoD?! It doesnt even compare…realistic bullet travel, vehicles, crazy graphics, intense customization, massive maps, skillful sniper kills, tons of weapons, and good progression system…sounds a helluva lot like CoD to me sarcasm

But they are clearly attempting to pander to the Call of Duty crowd with their adjustments. Which means they want those casuals.
I genuinely don’t like the aim down sight feature. don’t ask me why I just don’t. which for me ruined Crysis 2 which is sad and that game had a good narrative.
Just for the record if a game doesn’t have a good narrative then I wont buy it, for me story is the most important part In a video game which is why I favour The Halo universe and Fable TLC over any other game. It is also nice to have great gameplay along side it.
The only thing I like about CoD is the controversial mission were your in the airport.

I never said 343’s marketing department was bright. Because what would really bring people in is a game with innovative new feature’s. Like Halo 3’s Forge and Theater.

I get it’s your opinion, but when said opinion is said about nearly every game, it’s impact is lessened.
