Why do we even have health?

I’m not one to complain but is there a point to the health meter? The way I’ve experienced things, the second your shields are down in a fire fight, that’s it. You’re dead. Especially with the Battle Rifle.
I mean, in Halo 3 when your shields were down, you were still able to fight back. Not this time. So what’s the point of having a health bar when it disappears so easily?

We don’t have health. As a contributing factor anyways. Halo 2, 3, 4 and 5 removed health to make the game faster.

You could not be any more wrong in your statement. Heallth is a huge contributing factor in every Halo game. Just because it’s not apparent in a visible bar on your screen doesnt mean it isnt there.

Ever wondered why you die from a grenade, evem though your shields are fully charged?

Now you have a visual explanatiom why.

in H2 and H3 there was health it just wasn’t made visible in the HUD

Uh, no? It makes no difference. Especially when everybody only uses the BR.

There is health, but it regenerates when your shield does. When your shield depletes, you are one headshot or several bodyshots away from death. However , once your shield regenerates, your health regenerates as well… that’s how it differs from halo CE, where health packs were needed to replenish health.

This health is hugely important. Its what gives skilled precision use the advantage over automatics.

WE ALWAYS HAD HEALTH!!!

Whether you can see it or you need a health pack to replenish it is a different story.

Halo5 displays my health, YAAAA!!! For precision weapon play, it may not seem like a variable, but if all of Halo’s sandbox is used with melees, non-headshot weapons and varying explosive-types, knowing just how much or little health I have can help me make the difference between risking my life or holding it, for the team.

Seeing how my health is affected from general gameplay can also help me gauge the room’s connection issues and I can more quickly change some of my tactics, where be applicable.

I’ve had a couple near death experiences where the health has mattered. It recharges like the shield but seems like it takes much longer. Rarely used but it seems okay to have someone severely wounded take longer to recover.

In Halo 3, I think the health recharged slower than the shield. You could look at your shield being full, then die from a body shot with the sniper.

Umm, the same reason you have a shield bar. To tell you how much health you have left…

Health in Halo 5 might as well be non existent. Especially with the Ar, it only takes less than 5 bullets to finish unshielded person. I should have gotten many kills by reversing someone, but it’s reward the guy who shoots 1st.

If health was irrelevant, a body shot would be enough to kill someone.

Only a little bit. It really only mattered if you got into a fight the second your shields recharged. Other then that, it doesn’t exist and doesn’t effect the game.
