I am sure that most of you guys enjoyed the game type with the h2 br starting weapon.
Why would they remove it then after a while? 343 industries could integrate the most popular game types permanent.

It was one of the rotational playlist they do once and a while and it was just replaced with extermination (a more unique in fun gametype in my opinion). I do agree some rotational playlist should be permanent like extermination for example I think it should replace the new breakout or at least bring back the original one we had at launch
Super fiesta, snipers, and doubles were rotational at one point before becoming permanent, I believe. It happens.
If they made every temp playlist stick around it may spread the population to thin.

Ok then lets hope that they will integrate the H2 BR Game Type permanent. I Always enjoy this weapon, I guess because of nostalgic reasons.

Well I hope they will see the positive response for the h2 BR as a starting weapon, I mean everyone loves it right??
I despised the playlist but regardless, 343 has said rotational playlists will only go permanent IF people show their love for it. Simply liking it probably won’t be enough, it’s going to have to pull in a good fraction of the playerbase to show that it’s worth staying.just by how much they’ve rotated playlists, most aren’t popular enough to warrant their own playlist.
Personally I don’t think a playlist that only changes a starting weapon should be warranted it’s own spot, it really offers little since that’s the only difference for it, it’s just slayer with an H2BR.

What problems did you have with the playlist?
I occasionally enjoyed it, but it was mostly frustrating because the majority of my games it felt “twitchy” and the H2 BR was surprisingly hard to use effectively.

Well to start things off I’ve never liked playlists that only change one weapon, as I said the only difference between H2BR playlist and team skater, team arena, etc etc is the change in one starting weapon. The map pickups are all still the same, the way people move about is still the same, etc etc,
second is 343 designed arena to go in mind with the magnum, there’s a reason br starts aren’t a thing and the H2BR goes vs that. People have complained about BR starts in btb and many have speculated the issues it’d cause if it were to ever go into arena. The BR isn’t a fitting starting weapon, it causes to much chaos with it being how it’s currently designed.
third is the H2BR has more magnetism to it then its other version, and it will have more magnetism than most weapons on the map, missing shots won’t be as hard for most players cause you won’t need to be as accurate as you would with a magnum or even the standard BR. As someone who likes balance, the H2BR goes vs that. I’ll also just add that it adds to the already redundant sandbox.
There still should be a social snipers available. The rotational playlists are ok…

This pretty much, but @OP:
Pretty much anything with H2 BR in the title tends to get a full lobby pretty quickly in the customs browser.
If you want to play it, just save the settings, pick a map, open up your party privacy & start it up!
because was rotational

This absolutely is why. With the time the game has been out consolidation and playlist health is paramount. I wanted the Throwback playlist to stay, but that has yet to see the light of day since. Sad, very sad.
This playlist was fine as rotational but not permanent.
Because it was a temporary rotational social playlist… Just like all the other ones like mythic shotty snipers or covie slayer.

Definitely this… They admitted the reason of removing social skirmish was due to it’s low population. So they wanted to have those players go to other playlist. Same thing would happen if more of these temporary social playlist were permanent.

That’s actually bullcrap. Team Skirmish was very popular. The main reason 343 took itdown was because a lot more people were playing that instead of Arena. That and the hardcore Arena players went there to warm up and they would end up stomping on other players badly. Team Skirmish was even more sweaty than Team Arena.

And you know this how?

I know because one, that the most logical answer. And two, because every time I went into Team Skirmish, I found games instantly. It’s like I was searching for a game in Super Fiesta. That and 343 did say Team Skirmish was taking people away from Team Arena.
I Look forward to Castle Wars again. Hopefully soon. =}
