Why do they do this? I have a great idea 343...

I don’t always understand 343 and how they’re limited-time-only packs work.

Today, I decided screw it, I know it’s not smart to spend $10 on gaming aesthetics, but whatever, I want the classic helmets, for both armory completion as well as to use and reminisce on some of the good ole’ days.

So I logged into Waypoint, went to go purchase them and… they’re gone. As of today. The day I opted to buy them, they are no longer available. Limited time only REQ pack.

… Why?

In another example, I used to not care about professional gaming or the teams involved, so I had zero desire to spend real-world money on supporting them by buying Evil Geniuses, Optic Gaming, etc. aesthetic packs. Then, I started paying attention to them. I realized how great these tournaments, the live-streams, hype, etc. are for the community. I even started listening to a fellow gamer and Spartan Company member’s podcast, where he detailed the pro leagues in better detail and got me excited about them.

However, I never felt that way when those packs were available. And yet, I do now. And would love to purchase those pro team’s packs - but no longer have any method or reason to do so. Again, why are we limiting time on when some of these packs are available?

Wouldn’t it make more sense to just not have them obtainable by RP, but perpetually available for purchase? You could continue to reap funds from the gaming community on your title, and continue to support the pro teams, long after their tournaments have aired. Why wouldn’t you want that?

So, here’s my ultimate suggestion… for those of us seeking armory completion, or desiring to support the pro teams, or just wanting things that are no longer available - why not have one granddaddy REQ pack available down the road for us? Give us the exclusive helmets / armor that were only available for purchase in limited times only, as well as the pro league helmets and armor in one big pack for perpetual purchase. Make it more expensive if you’d like, so long as you detail what comes in it. $30 or so - and complete your armory collection that otherwise will remain at 97% or whatever, while still supporting the game, and the best players in the community at it. And just leave it available for whenever someone opts to bring out their wallet down the road.

Thoughts? Just seems silly, all of this limited time stuff. Make it always available. Just don’t bend and make it acquirable by RP. That’s all.

Aren’t the month of mythic packs still in there as well?

Most packs end up in the microsoft store after they are done in the req store.

Maybe they meant they would become unavailable with req points on Feb 21, by removing them from the req store. That’s what happened to the month of mythic packs.
