Why does the campaign feature several ‘‘levels’’ where you walk around, do nothing and talk to one person? These could have easily been cutscenes! If someone can please explain this to me, thank you.
Yeah they do suck. I kinda like them I can just walk and listen to conversations and get intel.
idk… the second one has the best piece of intel in the game…
“A love poem for palmer” written by an elite.
They exist purely to help immerse the player in the world of the game. When played with the goal of finding all of the Intel, the player can explore and see that this hub world has a personality of its own.
I actually don’t mind these levels.
It was fun to just sit with the grunt and the elite and listen.

This exactly. Did you try and help those elites fix their banshee? Did you find the singing grunt? Did you listen to the elites love poem for palmer? There are some cool little things in those missions, you should try exploring them.

Don’t forget the Elite and Grunt having a conversation about Theoretical Physics and throwing Grenades lol
I enjoyed those missions.
Hearing 2 guys talk about the plural form on Mongoose was fun.
Is it Mongeese or Mongooses? I’ don’t know man ask Sloan
I actually thought they were really cool. I enjoyed the break and dropping in on conversations. I can see where people are irritated and feel gyped though (Not sure if that’s how it’s spelled, haha)
I liked them, kinda cool to walk around and explore, collect intel and talk to people without being killed. A nice change of pace in a Halo game.

I think we found the truth we’ve been hunting for: it’s because this game sucks.
If you like backstory you can stick around and experience it on those levels… If you don’t just skip to the objective.

I’ve never been more excited to read something that has been spoiled for me in my life. That is just hilarious.
I suppose they’re put in to slow down the pace of the game given how bloody fast paced it is! I quite enjoyed listening to the intel in the Sanghelios base camp. One being a grunt talking about doing science and how humans lose limbs as they grow and then spin a cocoon (based on observation of Halsey). Great stuff.
Because they needed 15 levels to mirror halo 2.
I’m almost done with the campaign and haven’t minded the short levels. I recorded a few clips of some interesting Unggoy in Sanghelios. One sang a song to me and the other wouldn’t shut up. I was probably sitting there listening to his conversation with a silent participant for over 5 minutes with not a single line of repeated dialogue.

I thought that was a great bit of Intel.

Missed those two, where are they?
They are good levels, unfortunately most fans just rush past everything and miss all the easter eggs and the culture of the world they are on.
