This is soo annoying. One Thing I liked in Halo (1) was you could go back to the old battlefield and pick up a gun from your dead enemie. Or even make a huge pile off weapons like in the last mission where there came unlimited floods.
I don’t exactelly remember how long the weapons existed on the multiplayer but they were there a while.
I have no idéa if the consoll is to old to remember thoese guns that fell on the floor. But they almost instand dissapear soo it’s rediculus.
Both Campain and Multiplayer.
It’s crazy how quickly they disappear. Someone gave me a statistic once of 8-12 seconds or something.
However, in modes with Personal Ordnance, I kind of understand. There’s a ridiculous amount of chaos with all the power weapons, so it’s kind of fair that a death makes you lose a weapon you got for a killstreak anyways…
I think it’s fine. Sometimes it’s annoying, but if you instantly respawn and run to where you died you can get it back 90% of the time (assuming you spawn close enough, sometimes it’s impossible).
Yeah they should let them stick around in CTF a little longer because there aren’t personal ordinances. But in the playlists where you can get ordinances I think that the despawn time is fine.
Never hit me they don’t dissapear fast in CTF or other objective playlists.
But it gets soooooooooooooooooooo annoying in the campain.
If you face like 20 enemies in 1 room. 1/3 or 1/2 off does weapons only exist after the fight.
> Its the game engine “cleaning” the map to avoid extensive lag due to too many entities on the map at once.
I’m fine with that, but there should have been a smarter system. It’s annoying that a power weapon disappears so the ground can be littered with countless plasma pistols, storm riffles, and suppressors.
