I was just playing with my Grunt Goblin Mega Construx when this came too mind, first my other grunt got stuck and he went “Noooooo!” cuz I remebered in Combat Evolved A.K.A Halo 1 that when you stuck a grunt he would yell “Noooooo!” Then I wondered why they would say that. Anyone with awnsers please put them in the comments.
Because they know they’re about to die?
In any case, it is also for a slight comedic effect.
It is a natural reaction to soldiers to know that their gonna die?
Same goes with the marines and elites when their stuck as well.

Just knowing that feeling that you’re about to die drives them to saying that. It’s natural… and satisfying for the player hearing their cries of pain. >:D.

I get that but they think that we are jerks but it comes natrully we shove those grenades in their face cuz boi they are first of all the weakest enemy in the covenant and second it becomes a hobby

While I have the Grunt Birthday Party skull active, I like to stick the grunts and then shoot them in the head before the grenade blows up. Maybe I should activate the Grunt Funeral skull too, just for some more fireworks, haha
