I’m just asking why are some threads constantly getting locked. For example; I’ve been a part of several threads where someone may bring up splitscreen, playable elites, firefight, or whatever. The actual topic could be something different to these other discussions, but because someone simply brought it up and started talking about it the thread is locked.
I sort of understand why this happens, but keeping some of these discussions to one thread just makes it impossibly hard to maintain the conversation.
- These topics kept to one thread are usually plagued with trolls that make it hardly worth engaging it.
- The sheer amount of responses to these topics make it unreadable and impossible to follow.
- Any legitimate complaints or issues often go unheard or lost because of keeping them to one thread.
- Other tangential topics are locked without warning therefore making people reluctant to post anything of relevance since it will actively go ignored and locked.
What I’d propose is maybe just a formal warning on these threads to get back on track. Some topics are subtopics of splitscreen, and so on, and as you can imagine you can’t follow dozens of sub topics on one thread.
Anyway I hate making huge slabs of typing so I do apologise.
Maybe it’s just me, but I’d appreciate any other thoughts on the matter.
