Why do so many people think the Oathsworn is bad?

Many people(including myself) thin the Oathsworn is bad, but when I used it in Super Fiesta, I realized it isn’t just a Lawgiver with a speed boost.

From what I’ve seen I don’t think people think it’s bad. More so that because the Blaze of Glory is only a rare REQ and obtained a lot more frequently some feel Oathsworn should be better than it is for a mythic/legendary level Req weapon.

Blaze of Glory is more useful overall as a weapon while the Oathsworn is a mobility enhancer with a decent CQB 1-shot punch+slide combo.

In general but not as a rule;
If you know how to combo slides and thrusters off of the environment, Oathsworn is quite powerful.
Blaze of Glory, crouch walk and shoot anything that moves within default tacker distance.

Summed it up very nicely. Oathsworn isn’t bad, it’s just Blaze of Glory has better range and is all around easy to use. Oathsworn takes a little more strategy since it is coupled with the speed boost, plus being a mythic it’s a lot less expendable.

Every time I’ve spawned one, I die within 5 seconds… haha

When I used an Oathsworn in Super Fiesta I realized the range is ridiculous compared to the Lawgiver, however the Blaze of Glory has even more range.

Exactly, Oathsworn is real step up from the standard Shotgun or the Lawgiver, but the Blaze of Glory is a step up from Oathsworn

If you have a speed boost, then it is debatable.

It’s only bad compared to what other REQS are available at the same cost. When I can get a sniper, or the answer, or a tank even at 6 REQs… Oathsworn pales in comparison. Unless you’ve got a really heavy lead on the opposition where they are still using basic loadouts and small vehicles, it doesn’t give much utility on the battlefield at that point.
