Why do people hate halo 5? sure the campaign isn’t the best, but the multiplayer is amazing. (yes, ive played all the halos before this)

I think it was the sloppy storyline and the lack of split screen, that could make anyone in their right mind mad. However multiplayer is phenomenal.
Multiplayer is great. The griping about the campaign is warranted though. It’s pretty, it plays well, but it’s just a horrible plot and I’m being generous even saying it has a plot. To be fair people just love to complain though. We all do. Take away complaints and facebook, twitter, and waypoint would be empty.
I’ve played all of the halos and 3 was my favorite. It could be the poor hit recognition or the server issues it could be the lack of new maps to play on it could be the the ar the worst gun in halo the gun that in every halo in the past made people not want to play with you can cross map kill the magnum that your stuck with using because of lack of longer range weapons that aren’t easy to get because once someone gets on they take all the ammo it could be the tiny maps in arena it could be that most of the other players don’t have mics or dont speak English i dont play that much warzone i dont like it firefight is fun but its to the point it predictable on whats next it could be because they yank a playlist that most of the population wants to adjust things and 6 months later they give you a not even close version of it
It’s mostly because of the campaign and splitscreen, besides that I don’t really see any hate.
I know there were a lot of people who hated Req packs.
New art style, Game Physics, weapons.
There are soo many reasons people don’t enjoy this game but I would say the biggest reason is lack of content. Halo 5 shipped with less content than Halo 1. It doesn’t matter that it got added later most people were already gone. Then to top it off they have req packs which is supposed to pay for the updates for missing features.
Its mostly the campaign. H3 had one of the best while H5 is usually agreed to be a cluster **** with no real substance.
Also look at Halo 3’s art style, armor & weapon Designs for Spartans, elites, etc… Now look at Halo 5. It doesn’t even compare. Halo 5 is an eye sore.
Gameplay wise, I love H5. But getting armor in sets and only through random packs is a huge set back IMO.
Halo 5 has a great and very fun multiplayer; but the campaign was awfully boring and senseless…
Also the art style is very ugly; I miss the style that Halo 3 and Halo Reach had back in the days
My reasons why people don’t like Halo 5 besides campaign:
- New Artstyle - Lack of splitscreen - No local multiplayer (Yeah I know) - People hate the gameplay of Halo 5 - Hardly any content on launch compared to the previous Halo games - Microtransactions - Warzone being P2W to them - How much of a buggy mess the game is - Some people hating the game because it wasn’t made by Bungie (I know crazy right?)To me, I like Halo 5’s multiplayer but, it’s far from perfect. There’s always room for improvement 343i can learn to make Halo 6 a great game for the community to enjoy.
Lack of Split Screen
Lack of System Link
Rated T, instead of M.

Tiny maps? If anything, these maps are too big.

For me Its how the campaign was presented earlier with quite a lot of mystery. Now its all shoot first ask later type… Totally different from what halo was. The lets not even get into the graphics. About multiplayer aspect. We all have our personal favorite games and nothing can replace it. Then we compare how our favorite game plays too different from halo 5 and we complain including me because well we might have sold 360 and mcc won’t work so we cant play those games anymore. Thats why we want halo 6 to be classic because there is no classic game for us after mcc disaster and especially if you have sold the 360. There there is always online multiplayer… You cant forge, lan, custom game with people anymore. No more couch co-op… Thats all the problems I have and thats why its my least liked halo game. I still play it because I dont want to loose my skill and alo because no other fame is like halo… I tried warframe, cod, bf, etc… Nothing feels right even to a slight extent… That all.

I think so. You’re messing with the game’s integrity by doing so.
Circular maps and still not able to dial in AR, for me.
The game was kinda fun for about a week but it doesn’t really play like a Halo game to me, it feels more like Crysis. When I buy Halo I expect Halo, not a mashup of current fps trends.
Every map feels the same, they are too big, and filled with random crap. I can’t remember any of their names. Halo maps used to have interesting geometry and be instantly recognizable, but every map in H5 looks like a simple pallet swap. The forge maps I’ve played are more interesting than the maps 343 have given us.
I hate sprint, It causes the devs to make maps bigger thus making it a pointless mechanic. The only thing it does is hurt map design.
The art is ugly and dull and weapon redesigns look downright awful. It looks like Michael Bay threw up on Halo.
The campaign was so bad it made me stop caring about Halo’s story completely. I don’t even bother with the books anymore because of it.
Soundtrack is meh.
The announcer sounds too upbeat, like an annoying sports commentator. He used to sound badass in the old games.
No splitscreen and no system link.
Smart scope is slower than classic zoom.
Clamber is pointless. They had to make ledges slightly higher to make crouch jumping worthless and clamber necessary just to justify its existence. All it really added to the game was a lame animation.
The aiming doesn’t feel right no matter how much I mess with the settings. This is the series that set the gold standard for dual analog controls, there’s no reason the aiming should feel this terrible.
All of the unnecessary changes that were made as well as the content that was missing (and still is missing…) at launch. As well as customizations being flooded with purposely ugly filler just to “encourage” people to buy Req packs in the hopes of getting something they actually want. Its not necessarily hate, it is criticisms as these are objective problems that have made features off Halo less entertaining (i.e Customization/Progression).

What do you mean? It’s an ESRB rating.
