Why do so many constantly jump in Halo? I don't.

Why do so many people jump constantly in Halo? This is just useless base speed strafing is faster less predictable offers more movement options jumping is now more then ever useless to use consistently for combat purposes.

No… Jumping can be way more effective than a strafe, jumping while moving at a certain direction, like a single strafe, can be super, super effective. It can get the enemy off-guard and make them shoot your feet instead of shooting your head while you shoot their head if you do it right.

Can be in certain situations but not near as often as walking and not constantly.

can be a great way to throw off their aim at the last second, helps you reduce damage from incoming nades, gives you a height advantage where you can shoot down into them or get a great angle for throwing your own nade. It’s a bit of a skill.

Yes but any movement can throw off their aim where as strafes can be unpredictable and faster on top of that. You could avoid nades completely in many other ways
without taking a finger of for jump. It isn’t good for nades you can’t bounce em good. And it is a bad angle it lets you be seen from more angles and you can’t shoot down on someone that well for all that negative stuff.

Because I can’t really jump around when I walk about in real life. Especially not 8 feet in the air … so it’s fun to do it in a game. Weeeeeeeeee!!!

The only downside is, as your gamertag suggests, that floaty jumping makes you a target for snipers since you can’t really dodge or strafe in the air.

Unless your superman. Then you can do what you want while in the air.

Cos I’m bouncy.

Love jumping which is why I use bumpa jumpa!

Dat Bunny hop bounce

Crouching is life for me

I don’t take my fingers off to jump. I fire with my middle finger and use index to press face buttons or hit RB.

If you jump at the end of sprint (at least in Halo Reach and Halo 4) the momentum and if you timed your jumps right would get you a lot farther than just by running (not sprinting). And besides get down to one shot and throw a jump in? You could survive just a bit longer.

The only time crouching is useful is at the apex of a jump!

Still not worth it

Or just don’t die and that only works on larger maps.

Nah more accuracy, less sound, stay off radar and a strafe move it is great!

If you see a sniper bearing their sights down on you, a jump can make them hit your body instead of your head, giving you a chance to survive.

Strafing is faster but aiming side to side is easier than aiming diagonally.
