I’ve had multiple games where it seems to be that the majority of the team has no interest in completely the objective. I understand farming all those adds for increased reqs for later but I only do that after I tell my team to not kill X boss so I can boost up. Sometimes they listen other times they don’t but just outright ignoring the objective just ruins the fun and I was curios if anyone knows why people do this.
I.E. Do you get more reqs from losing WZFF then finishing it?
Edit: a good example is what just happened to me in a match I just played. A teammate went out of his way to ram about dozen crawlers to clear a path for my team and I to secure the base but only I and one other person went into the base. The other five just stayed outside just outside of spawn not even shooting the adds outside. I wasn’t even aware of our lack of numbers in the base until the driver died and raged at them not doing anything.
Edit 2: I Just played another game where no one attacked the boss but me and two other guys then suddenly at the last minute every started charging the last two ghosts just punching it…Really, I understand sometimes you play support and sometimes you carry. These guys aren’t playing support and they can’t be carried. They justwant people like me to give them free wins.
why would you wait to kill a boss when almost every one of them can regain health?

I was using that as an example. I normally don’t do it on boss waves mostly on Hunt and Kill Missions but I do it to get a leg up on reqs but only if my teammates are okay with it.
Had a game on darkstar where I was the only person trying to hold the objective, my team was too busy running around killing everything else to come and try to clear out the armory, we ended up losing in the first round because of that.
I’ve played with plenty of people who literally did nothing for upwards of 14 mins. One guy I played with, I kid you not on Urban, Spartan charged a wall the whole match while 2 other players ran around behind the garage hitting each other with melee while the whole game went on. I and 4 randoms carried the game as best we could to round 3 and failed.
I went back in theater to watch that game dumbfounded why those 3 players were so bored playing a video game they just didn’t care. It baffled me, seems every game there’s 1 or 2 people who’s brains are turned off.

You will always lose that round on Darkstar. its not because your teammates were dumb it is because it happens in round 1 and in the last 90 seconds a wave of knights spawn IN THE OBJECTIVE.

Sometimes I just don’t know where the enemies are. Certain rounds it’s clear where enemies are dropping and sometimes it isn’t. I’ve ran around Apex 7 looking for enemies before and it’s annoying. That can take a couple minutes and by then the round is practically over.
And there are other times that I lose track of the timer and realize that we’re not making progress. I’m thinking specifically about the one where you have to kill the two Knights in front of the Spire on Apex 7. I’ll spend several minutes trying to shoot the crawlers & soldiers and they keep spawning in. Then I start to realize that we haven’t even started shooting the Knights.
Anyway, that’s my thoughts. Of course it could also be that the people just want to be carried through to the end when they can use tanks & stuff. Who knows.

I hate that objective. No matter how hard I try, we can never beat that one. Especially since players need to stand in the base and no one want to do that because they will die.

^ What baffles me is that there are so many people who seem to contribute so little to the game. I get having off games, but I consistently run into this problem. I refuse to play WZFF anymore without a Fireteam, and since I rarely get on with a bunch of guys, I’ll stick to regular WZ and Arena game types.
Something needs to change in FF.
Pro tip: if you’re in need of some quick reqs, at the end of a round spray as much enemies as you can, they will die and you will be rewarded the kill.
I attempt to. However, they have made it very VERY difficult to do by spawning high level enemies that can 3 shot you before you can even tell where the shots are coming from. Not to mention how the AI will hunt you and follow you once they lock on to you. I have had to go 1/2 across the map to lose an enemy that was chasing me. They locked on to me and no matter how much cover I took. They kept coming. The promethean enemies are really bad about this. they also are very good a 3 shoting you with a light rifle. On some maps, I have seen so many high level enemies that there was ZERO chance of getting anywhere near the objective without dying. Not the mention that you get severely punished with long respawn timers for getting killed.

We actually got past that, just barely, it wasnt until the final round.
The free trial is over today, so hopefully most of this will stop. Little kids are the worst, and the new players that stay will have to learn how to play. The AI in FF are hellions…lol
I think everyone playing FF has had experiences like the OP’s. I cannot believe how many rounds I’ve played where this has happened. Also, and I don’t blame the new people playing for the first time, but I see players who don’t know where to shoot Phaetons to bring them down or where to hit Knights to take them out quick and eventually fail to complete the level in time.
Things will get better as people who continue to play will be more aware of objectives and boss weaknesses.
