Im sure many people have noticed this but why is it that they have four arms and why are the arms so small and look like human arms?
Because they secretly want to tickle the Master Chief when they get close enough.
Dunno. Looks like weapons form into their body and the arms are just there.
Perhaps their armour was knocked off those arms so it looks like they have four but they only have two.
Maybe to give them an extra set of arms and hands when their main arms turn into weapons.

hmm makes me wonder what they look like behind that armor.
Actually, on a serious note, if you scale the actual size of a Promethean Knight to a normal Marine, I think those small hands would be pretty comparable to the size of human hands. If you look closely at the arms holding the weapons, the ends look more designed to manipulate very specific machinery, while the inside hands deal with buttons and pads that can only be manipulated with humanoid fingers.
They look like they’re based on General Grievous to me. 4 arms and everything.
Is it just me or does the Promethean Knight look like a bug? It makes me think of a praying mantis, and I don’t know why…

Good theory, it looks like the arms are immobile, like they cant be used, but your probably right.

I think it’s because the arms they hold their weapons with aren’t really arms. They float. Those tiny arms you see are their real arms. they have those fake ones because the little ones are useless like t-rex arms.
SO they can pull MC’s helmet off when grappling with him !!!

well, since these guys are robots, probably lights and gears and wires and stuff. They are probably just for accessing data pads, terminals, and other things that would require hands. Or, in dire situations, hand to hand combat.

Well, the two larger arms seem to be for weapons only, while the "normal arms look as if they’d be used for control panels etc.
Also, has anyone noticed how huge the Knights are? They’re nearly as big as a Hunter! I’d love to see a 1 on 1 battle between the two.
