OK so this is puzzling to me but I’m by no means a pro at halo but when I play against someone who is good they feel the need to look at my stats which mean as much as a hemroid to me and talk trash to me and here’s my view you sound an update over zelious star trek fanatic seriously its kinda funny I always wonder if this guy ever knew in was playing with my friends over andall of then were saying comments like he must be a -Yoink!- or I wonder if he still lives with his mommy while I’m going hmm I’m so sad I am being talked -Yoink- to in guess I’ll go dry off my tears by driving my 2014 Audi r8 v10 plus at high speeds and for those of you who are not car each that’s a 189k car. My point is when did video games go from just being entertaining to this -Yoink- serious this -Yoink- my life.
I wonder if this guy and others like him feel a sense of superiority over others and a feel of achievement for being better at a video game could this be a deep resentemnet towards a insecurity or could they be making up for a short coming in there life.
Now let’s analyze this this a different way in the end no one but the game manufacturer wins in the end no matter how much halo stuff you buy no matter how great your kd or win ratio is non of that scores you the job with the 6 figure salary but you know what does the guysbwhibdesign the game and the guy at the top and his board of directors who play way less hours then you who dedicate there life to marketing the game over watch the game design and projects and in the end when you see halo made so and so millions in sales that becomes negative equity in your pockets and much much positive green mula in there pockets. in my opinion people who are awesome at video games eh its cool but can you a actually design a video game market it to people or keep the company safe from lawsuits I mean that’s where the money is not I’m the best halo player ever … here’s the reality you could be the coolest halo player online and talk -Yoink- but let’s be framing come Christmas time your probably the guy who ain’t impressing your parents while your big bro is talking about making 6 figures
The morale of this story is keep the really nerdy trash talk down man because you never know you could be trash talking some guy who says like -Yoink- but makes bank in the end your the loser because when you turn the Xbox off and get back to the real world your still eating Roman noodles and being broke and he is debating which car to drive that day to buy another one. Please learn your lesson oh and to makes things more. Clear that day you beat me in halo I drove my R8 to go pick up my Nissan GTR.
I agree with you on some things. There is no need for trash talk on xbox, especially when me and you both know that at least one person talking trash online is a loser, or has no right to be a -Yoink-. It’s obvious when you hear some punk talking -Yoink-, but you know he’d never say that -Yoink- to your face. Anyways, if you want to avoid listening to jerks, I suggest changing your family settings to where you can only communicate with friends. Even then though, it’s sad that you can’t go into one game anymore without being -Yoinked!- at by some -Yoink-.
welcome to the Internet age. It’s not about halo, it’s about being anonymous. When you are anonymous people feel free to act like themselves without consequences. Bottom line is there are a boat load of screwed up people in the world, and they are all coming out of their shell and expressing themselves. You have to either learn to ignore them or simply mute them so you never hear what they say (which is easy to do with xbox live)

Exactly. People’s true colors come out on xbox, since they know (or think) they will never meet you in real life.
Just the other day I was playing some Invasion on Reach, and this teammate of mine who was admittedly doing rather well suddenly flipped out. (“CAN I GET A TEAMMATE OVER HERE?!?!”) Then, he singled me out. ( Probably because I was the guy standing next to him.) Told me I was trash, that I sucked, etc., etc. The enemy Banshee took him out, and I naturally teabagged his corpse. After respawning he betrayed me, and to my delight I got the boot option.
He then sent me PM’s, cussing me out and more of the same. Eventually I avoided, blocked, and filed a complaint. That what you gotta do- let them screw themselves over and keep the moral high ground.

I don’t really feel like this thread was necessary. Everyone gets paired up with trash talkers every now and then, just mute them and block communications problem solved.

Yes yes i did LOL but i kinda just wanted to make sure the point got accross by i guess over explaining because i have posted in the past and have had some people completely miss th point of my thread no -Yoink- i had had someone just go on a tangent of how Copying call of duty would ruin halo and how these loadouts are bad and all this and that and my original poitn was it would be nice if in the single player of spartan ops you know the one that you can select the difficulty in, if in that mode i can add 3 customized spartans to play along with me i reference call of duty though what i believe i should have said was how about like the first campaign level in reach when noble team is noble team not noble team is just noble 6 but they say good job team and its just you rather in spartan ops its you and 3 customized spartans in looks and weapons playing so when palmer goes good job spartans it doesnt come off as what the hell you talking about its just me doing all this work how about good job spartan.
this is why i had to over explain myself thus putting off the image of a tangent but i do apoligize if thats how i came off.
