So many Fiesta/SWAT/Infection montages and clips out there… What makes so many people think that they’re worth putting in a montage or that their clip is any good? They are heavily modified settings that do not effectively represent or reflect skill at Halo.
And yeah ok, so you made a video, but when it’s all generic clips, set to generic music, with little to no editing… there’s no heart or soul put into it!

Infection certainly does require skill, even if the settings are modified. Same with SWAT. In fact, a decent argument could be made that SWAT requires more skill than standard Slayer.

Lol no… 1 shot, 1 kill modes do not require any skill relative to full-shield modes. Nowhere near the same kind of skill anyway.
Its all reaction time. And with Infection, you stand in one spot as you’re bum rushed by cannon fodder. No skill…

How new are you to Halo big boy? These modes weren’t even a playlist for those specifics reasons back in the day besides swat also another reason why infection isn’t a “ranked” playlist because it’s a playlist that’s enjoyable not focused on how good and precise you are at aiming.
Personally I don’t care about montage videos, because I don’t care about being “pro” at a video game. So I say, if you want to make a montage video or clip show out of social games, go right ahead. The few clips I’ve taken have been in social games, but those are more for my personal enjoyment and remembrance. I’m of the mindset that if you are using a montage vid to brag at all, whether the clips come from social games or ranked play, then you’ve got an inflated ego.
The great thing about videos is: you don’t have to watch them.

In all reality it shouldn’t be a playlist in my opinion and should just be searchable on custom games. better idea 343Industries Go back to basics and focus on what made “Halo” … “Halo”
It depends. If I got around Empire with an Answer and get a Killionaire, that is something because your teammates are moving too which dictates spawns of the other team

You remember ‘Slayer’ the basic and common core to Halo Multiplayer and it’s existence.

I’m saying that any clips I record are for my own personal enjoyment and memory (so I can go back and see that cool thing I did whenever I want). They aren’t for going into videos, they aren’t for bragging to others about how good I am.
What make you think these videos are for bragging? Let the people make a montage of swat, or whatever they want. Just don’t watch and don’t come here to complain.
We’re not all pro with video editing and what is available on Xbox One is more than enough for most people to play with

Swat definitely does not require more skill then slayer. With 1 shot kills its just a game of reaction time and positioning.
Halo did a Flip Flop… the majority of Halo’s Fanbase has changed and is catered to the casual style players.

It’s weird… because all I heard is people complaining Halo 5 is too competitive and full of try hard.
The times have changed and continue to change since the days of CE & H2. During that era, the majority of montages were from competitive games, but there weren’t many other options out there as well in regards to playlists. People make these montages as a form of entertainment and people are entertained by different aspects of Halo. If people enjoy a certain montage, then by all means, keep creating them.

Not very. I never got into Infection until it came out in Halo 5, so I can’t speak much of previous games, but in my experience, it does require some level of skill, even if that level is low. As for SWAT, I’ve never really been into it, but I’m not claiming that it requires a high skill level. I’m simply saying someone more experienced in the mode that me could make the argument for it.
