Why Do People Say AR Starts is About Weapon Variety?

Ranked is what matters, not overall. I usually just goof off in social and not try because its fun to try dumb stuff. In a “competitive” playlist where rank matters my stats are better than yours and i barely play and you seemingly have about 4 times the play time i do, so really what does that say? If anything that just shows I am worse with an AR and that i still prefer it over thr BR.

You are trying to compare backyard football stats when im talking about actual league play stats.

You’re clearly typing the name wrong. I can find myself, no problem.

Already went over this too. You have to worry so much less about positioning and enemy wepaons with a BR…

Also the highest you made it in ranked is plat5, so definitely not a skill issue on my part. Not trying to flex but when you bring up skill as an argument i at least have to show I am not bad.

My stats are almost all better than yours in ranked directly comparing the two. Stop before this gets any worse bruh lol

Ok there T Squared, but your last ranked game was three weeks ago and you went 4 and 18. You haven’t played on that 1500 since because you’re scared to lose it aren’t you.

I don’t know who carried you to onyx but it gave you a way bigger head than your shoulders can support.

No, actually my friend does not want to play because he is diamond and doesn’t want to play more onyx people and yeah Elden Ring is just too dang good of a game. Really advocate everyone try it because its probably the best open world game ever made. Also already said at best i play once a week and honestly their is no reason to grind rank since all onyx gets the same reward. That and i don’t like playing Halo by myself.

My point with the stats is I am not bad and i prefer AR starts so trying to use my skill as an argument doesn’t work. If anything my AR stats are worse than my BR stats because the AR is way harder for me to use and stay safe at a long range. That and its social so having fun doing stupid stuff like trying to get roadkills with a banshee is more fun.

Final point, take it or leave it:

ARs play different and we like that difference and its not because i am bad. I get you want BR starts in social so yes, 343 give them a social BR playlist. Also 343 since there is a difference can we have an AR ranked playlist?

(Final note, that T Squared insult is hilarious and i definitely plan to use it on my friends)

Can do that in BR starts too though, to be fair

The BR is useless against the Banshee

Running for 5 minutes to get within range to get AR kills is not fun to me. I don’t get why people like it and you’re right, I won’t ever get why people like it.

I want to fight people, from the moment I spawn to the end of the game. I almost always have both the most shots fired and the best accuracy on the team, because 99% of the people in this game DON’T SHOOT THEIR GUNS in AR starts, and they miss most of their shots when they do.

I don’t get it, how is that fun? Nobody has actually said how that’s fun besides “at least I’m not getting shot from farther away than I can land shots”

EDIT: I sent this a while ago and it had to be approved for some reason so it only just hit I guess? I wasn’t paying attention

Yeah i get that, i would take it you probably don’t like the massive maps of Battlefield either. Its just a different style. I don’t always enjoy being constantly shot if i am across the map. I like people being able to move close and then engage for the most part. My friend who i play ranked with prefers BRs and i would say lots of fans do. It seems almost like a 50/50 split to me for the playerbase that does prefer ARs and those that don’t. I won’t say every who prefers ARs isn’t bad with BRs but thats definitely not the case with me. I just prefer that play style and always have and would love playlist that appeal to both sides.

It’s not that the AR shouldn’t be there anywhere, I just don’t want to be saddled with it as my main w weapon because of the limitations and HUGE RNG reliance. I trust the BR, the BR is fun to use, and I like the aesthetics of it too. That’s what I want out of Infinite.

Understandable. Wish 343 would have given us multiple playlist when we had the playerbase to fill both…

what do you think you are supposed to do with an AR? tickle their pickles?

Sounds like a skill you need to work on then. Infinite is one of the fastest Halo’s and getting in CQC range of people is easier than ever.

That is a lie. I see people using AR’s in ranked all the time as a backup for when they get caught in close quarters, and they typically shred.

You run around looking for fights more than you actually fight that way, it’s boring and pointless imo. You’re literally sprinting full blast to get to a range where you can help your teammate who just dies before you get there.

Skill issue my -Yoink!-, the AR is not a good starting weapon on large maps.

I seriously don’t get why people are so caught up on comparing ranks in Halo Infinite. Like who gives a -yoink- how you compare to the few hundred people who hate themselves enough to play ranked Halo Infinite.

It’s honestly pathetic. This and the known fact that social and ranked are treated identically in the eyes of SBMM. You’d get a better idea of someone’s skill by looking at the stats of their most played gametypes considering you don’t have to be that good to be in onyx or diamond.

How rank increases, as far as I’m aware, is still a mystery and has little to do with how skilled you actually are as a player.

Yea the pre rank garbage is trash lol

Start at one and rank up from there. Get modded and stand-by, by people when you get to 35-40 and never make it to 50, like the good Ol’ days.

Mr. Cool Spoon stuff Sir, respectfully, that exactly what we are saying. You barley play this game and are a “high rank” think you better than someone who plays more than you because of that. That is the illusion exactly. Make you think you good so you want to play it, doesn’t work for you but you are here defending them basically. So basically you think your good enough at Halo to buy the next one and play the stuff. Not drop off the game and never play again because you can’t make it high in the rank.

That rank placing makes no sense and is not progressive whatsoever and now that I’m typing this is bad for skill building. Everyone starting at a competitive 1 rank and Battling to get up as high as you can, in MULTIPLE playlists.

(Reminiscing) In the good ol’ days Team Snipers was no shotty had a pistol and was ranked. There was nothing like it. The exhilaration of sniping under pressure, pressuring you to evolve your combat skills, literally!!!

Well I believe your on that guys side in a few ways your kinda making his point but sounding like you disagreeing? Or am I reading wrong cuz imma defend him if you not on his side lol

Sorry just keeping it real

Still not sure what you are getting at, ill be the first to say i was trash at Halo until maybe 4 (which is my least favorite Halo i just happened to be good at it) then i was just okay at 5 and now i would say i am pretty good at Infinite. Maybe thats due to playing shooters all growing up and now ive finally hit my stride in gaming and it could also be Infinite feeling very similar to Destiny in terms of movement and gunplay (which is great i love it) so already being familiar helps.

Not just that i will say playing with a controller that has paddles helps tremendously. I can do things that without some weird grips just aren’t possible on a standard controller.

The point of me showing my ranked stats was to show I’m not bad at the game and i still prefer AR starts. The common misconception is people don’t like BR starts because they are bad with it and that just isn’t true. Personally i am worse with the AR and find the BR way easier to use because i don’t think aiming is that hard of a skill to improve. Not liking certain starting weapons is due to what gameplay you like more and we agreed that having playlists for both is a good idea.

Also not going anywhere, been a Halo fan for 20 years and have played almost every Halo game save the big one thats at Dave and Busters and Spartan Strike because it was just on PC and maybe the Windows phones.

I don’t mean or want to insult your experience by no means this is game for Fun after all.

Just hear me out…

With Halo as you know emotions run high and it could be a toxic environment and was in a few ways or terms specifically…

I guess reall I can only speak for myself when I say they made the game a lot easier and catered to a lot. Just honestly. It got progressively easier. It’s attribution is people thinking they’ve reached a adequate playing level as to but the game and it has worked.

Not as an insult but I got to a Level 44 in double Team in Halo 2 back in the day and idk what you remember but you have to be damn NEAR pro to get past 35 in some playlist. Double team def. being one.
I admit I haven’t played Halo much in the last few years but check my H5 stats if you want to or can.
In Halo Infinite I was placed at a Silver right. Ok so to some that may seem like well yea you haven’t played so your places low to rank up. That part makes sense fully. Where it doesn’t is when players get ranked higher immediately when it’s possible they were #1 carried #2 just getting luck paring. #3 then stop playing when it can’t be maintained and lose interest. That’s what kills the game.

On top of that someone like my self who want to grind to the top is placed at the bottom instead of just being at the bottom honestly makes me loose some what of interest also pared with basically one ranked playlist. I grinder H5 believe me I know how it’s done I been thru it. It was nothin like getting that 44 man. Sweating, Exhilarating truly.
H5 rank was just blah. Except when I was a champion in Swat that was palm sweating fun right there.
