This is a genuine question, that has been on my mind for a while.
Why do some people go so close to bosses, sometimes when they are in full (almost full) health? No matter how powerful your weapon is, you cannot kill a boss with one shot, whereas, in most cases, they can end you with a single shot.
I’ve seen 2 people, in quick succession run up to a grunt mech - whether to melee or spartan smash or to say hello - I can’t figure out.
Running up so close to the bosses, apart from getting you killed and making the team one person down for period of time, it poses the following issues:
you are in the shot of other team mates
when you move so close to them, they will attack you, thus moving away from where other team mates are firing at. this is particularly annoying in those maps where the bosses are indoor and there is only a little space for all the vehicles to fire at. drawing them away from that opening others are firing at is distressful.

I don’t think anyone here is going to openly admit to doing it haha. But I know what you mean. I’ve been on FF a lot to grind for 152 and I have noticed there’s a lot of lower level people (probably got the game from game pass).
These people probably don’t have REQS to actually do any damage ahahaha.
It’s irritating but eh, what can you do.

I see your point, which begs another question, why are they on Mythic?
When I first started playing FF, back in February, I started with Heroic - the lowest difficulty available. It took me a while to figure out what REQ system was and how to use - i was running around with basic loadout weapons, however, I still kept my distance from bosses.

Well unfortunately not everyone is gonna figure that out straight away. It’s great that you took the time and figured it out but sadly that’s not always the case for everyone else.
Sometimes you just get bad teammates, that’s just the reality of it. They’ll learn eventually but until then it is what it is.

Also unfortunately, those people will not be here on this forum.
I didn’t know of this forum until recently.

Agreed!
Regular forum users will probably be people who play the game a bunch.
The occasional new guy here and there.
Hopefully you get better luck!
If you ever need people to play firefight with feel free to add me. I’m grinding 152 everyday.
Their trying to assassinate him… lol. Only works when the boss is about to die. Before the Mech Grunt was added they used to assassinate the Warden to get the kill. I haven’t seen anyone assassinate the Mech Grunt.

I never knew you could assassinate a Warden! that’s interesting. I’ll presume their health level should be almost depleted for this to work.

That isn’t bad. Now what’s bad is not going around others and pushing them and their vehicles into the bosses, or leeroy jenkins blocking the rest of the team’s or the only ones actually damaging the boss or bosses.
If you want, add me and I will grind with you later on, I use my mic and if you need certain kills or stats to max out let me know and I will sit back.
Sometimes people try to punch the bosses for restore their shields. I try to don’t do it, I prefer go for an overshield (Mythic).
In the other case, even with a team in FF, sometimes your teammates forget that the bosses are super fast, It is more frecuent with the hunter bosses, when they get mad XD. This are very common mistakes, but the only way is to tell them to shot them from far, or they will learn through their deaths. Even if you played a lot of FF, if you are doing other things, or stop to play some days, if you lose focus it can happen to you.
Regardless of how little damage some grenades and a shotgun will do, if they don’t happen to have anything better then what else can they do? Not everyone exclusively plays Warzone, and those who play Arena will likely sell REQ items for a chance at cosmetics. They won’t always have a tank that’s a button press away, and doing a little damage is better than getting reported for standing around.
This is a casual mode, after all. Some play it simply to have fun.

One reason for a such behavior is that there clip is empty. My biggest annoyance with Warzone Firefight is that it’s way too easy to die from a minior mistake like not having proper knowledge about enemy spawns and behavior.

in a close range one on one with a boss, I’m certain the boss will be the one to survive.
in fact an ordinary grunt in mythic round 5, has killed me once. I emptied my BR into it, it went down and I was walking away, it got back up and plasma bombed me to death.

That’s understandable; you’re in a banshee, and it would take more than one shot to kill you. I’m only worried for the well being of those that are on foot.
