I’m seeing plenty of times in BTB where people will rage quit if you get to a vehicle before them. Most commonly with maps that contain the mantis or banshee. Why do these noobs rage quit and then make you loose because of less numbers.
There will always be bad apples within a community. I wouldn’t worry about it too much since eventually more people will J.I.P. in and the teams will be balanced again.
They need it for commendations maybe. That’s the only reason I can think of.
Well atleast they’re quitting and not doing what i’ve had done to me so many times in so many halo games… and that is where you get a vehicle first so they proceed to betray you for it or follow you around the map, shooting you and weakening you so by the time a enemy comes around you’re taken down quickly.
Well I encountered players who’ll shoot at you for taking the vehicle they wanted. Most of the time, they suck at driving or piloting the vehicle.
Because you have literally ruined there life. /s
They have to report a theft to the police, its hard to play and do that at the same time.
Jealous. If they snooze they loose, simple.
Better than them following you around the map and slowly destroying your vehicle.
Except for the mantis. Nothing is more satisfying than stomping on the little fartnugget

Because the person that beat me to the banshee ends up getting it hijacked within 30 seconds giving the enemy team 2 banshees and especially on Estuary that is grounds for a serious rage quit after being spawn killed 15 times in a row.
I hate bad teammates with vehicles because vehicles turn games around when used correctly… and when used poorly.

Lol I’ve seen this happen too. It must because they need those kills.
Because they think they deserve the vehicle more than you, this happens with power weapons too. I’ve seen people who betray for a sniper and just end up dying w/o any kills, I only give my sniper to the good people.

that’s why you should remember the best route and fastest to get to the vehicles. I do it in Reach all the time with getting the banshee on Spire. I plan the most effective route for what team i’m on.
Why do babies cry when you take their toy away?
I have this problem bad when it comes to BTB. A long time ago I was rocking a sniper on that one map with the huge base sticking out of the canyon. I had gotten a gotten a Running Riot, and like 8 Buckle Ups. I went to grab ammo, because the sniper respawned. Right then, somebody shot me, took the sniper, died about a minute later with only 1 kill (and like 6 shots). I ended that game 23 and 1. So damn close to no deaths.
I’ve found that you can splatter them once and the game won’t count it as an intentional betrayal since it knows that you can’t control the vehicle as well due to the speed. So if instead of quitting, they start shooting you to destroy the vehicle then you could always do that to get them off your back for a few seconds.
Hell just Saturday night I was playing Reach and beat a kid to the Wraith. He started shooting at me and tried to destroy my wraith. I shot him and got booted. But in another match I accidentally ran over a teammate with a revenant because an enemy was close to him but I didn’t get kicked because the game understood that I couldn’t control the vehicle and the change of betrayal was increased.
Or you could just try to ignore it and kick them, then report them after the match.
In firefight I usually wind up with people that hit other players with vehicles after a match or fire at each other’s vehicles. Most of the time I see one or two tanks on fire before a round begins and we needed that tank.
I like seeing people fire around each other playfully since it’s not direct, but then there are people that aim to lower shields and destroy stuff the party needs before warden eternal shows up.

they rage because you took away their crutch, they cant get a kill unless they have ten times more health, increased speed and stronger weapons.

maybe they just didn’t boot you because they knew it was an accident but the kid shooting at the wraith was trolling you, the game doesn’t boot you, the person you kill does.

because vehicles, are overly, over powered given the nature of halo. have you not played war zone before? now why your own team quit, i have no idea. but i have never been a fan of vehicles in halo
