Seems ridiculous to me that people would complain about getting awesome guns.
It’s kind of like complaining about getting free money.

Well map ordnance is fine since anyone can get it.
Personal ordnance however is random, some may get a Needler on Complex, while the guy in the other team gets a sniper.
So you can imagine how that fight would end on Complex.
It can be random and a tad unfair.
Because you need luck on your side. Lets say your team gets needlers and the other team gets a incineration cannon, binary rifle, and shotgun. A bit unfair dont you think?

Not everyone has a chance with map ordinance. If I kill you and the incineration cannon falls 5 ft from were you spawn I have no shot at it. Ordinance rewards players with power weapons for doing nothing. It’s random and randomness has no place in a competitive game.
Because a match is a competition… Ordnance Drops are just a free pass, for example; Somebody gets an ordnance for having like 2 kills and 2 assists and some distractions thrown in there. Maybe he gets something like a Sniper or a Incineration Cannon. With those weapons he can easily get a killing frenzy. Does he deserve it? Hell no! It’s just for people who want a treat for everything they do… Such randomness shouldn’t be in a competition…
It appeals to the noobier crowd. Yay, finally the noobies can get their hands on power weapons, because in the old fair Halo style it was way too hard for them to get those weapons, you know, because you needed to be good… -_-
I feel as though I’m forced to use the Ordinance Priority perk in BTB.
The only area your guys arguments fail is… ALL THE POWER WEAPONS ARE EFFECTIVE AND BALANCED.
If you get a needler and the other team gets a sniper for example you are not at a disadvantage considering the needler is just as powerful.
If you having problems getting kills with any if the power weapons that is not because the game is unfair, it’s because you need to practice more with weapon you are having problems getting kills with.
Well, I believe because most people in the halo community liked the strong competitive gaming. With Ordnance drops you bring so many power weapons into the game, that it looses exactly that.I mean I hate them too. If everyone gets free money, nobody would work and the world falls into chaos. (A bit exaggerated but the same applies to halo) The game becomes very chaotic, and you cant predict what weapon any player has. its a complete “gunfest”. With the previous games you knew whether or not someone could have a shotgun. I mean it was either a loadout on the map or not. With Ordnance drops you cant know what anyone has equipped. For that simple reason I hate it. (Also it feels very much like a “stolen” Idea from CoD… At least for me halo4’s multiplayer feels alot like it…
Ordinance Drops are awesome. Finally, those players that camp around the power weapons waiting for them to spawn won’t have a monopoly over the weapons anymore. Plus, those who are new can have a chance to practice with the weapons and get better. Like this change.

Sure, because a Needler will protect you from an invisble guy with a Binary Rifle 150 meters away from you…
Yep. i guess the game just hates you guys. the other noob team always gets the weapons you deem “worthy” but you get screwed… 343 chose you and your friends personally. so you all are tellin me these noobs can get kills because of them and you can’t… hmmm… and before you sau noob. check my stats. I’m a headshot -Yoink!-. i just don’t cry becausr the game is more accessable. i get to use those tools too. and if I’m a better player, i’ll come out on top by playing to my weapons strength, not theirs.
Well, yeah it was a nice idea for exactly that problem, but they could have solved it by randomly placing the powerweapons. Each spawning on a different location everytime. So that gives anyone the chance of getting it!Just and idea.

What the fudge did I just read?

Camping at Power Weapon spawns? Are you serious? Sure, there are some selfish people who sit on their base on Hemorrhage, waiting for the sniper the whole game. But in normal gameplay, you’re supposed to take map control and make sure that the power weapons don’t fall in enemy hands… But now, BAM! Incineration Cannon/Binary Rifle just drops right in front of a scrub who gets a free killing spree with it!

I don’t think you entirely understood my Needler v sniper example…
Also, I don’t mind the drops, just explaining to the OP about why some people hate them.

Every weapon in the game has it’s pros and cons.
If that dude with the binary rifle is in close range and I have the needler he it’s as good as dead.
Your point is kind of moot dude.
Pretty much what every one else has said.
power weapons for assists.
2 for 1
it’s basically screwed up map control or the ability to gain an advantage by taking out a player on the opposing team with a power weapon.
Now even if you kill one. Bam 30 seconds later the their team has a new shiny one.
It’s entirely 343i fault. A lack of testing.
Ordinance as a idea is fine. It should of been limited however to certain weapons.
Needler
Saw.
Plasma pistol.
boltshot.
shotgun
scattershot.
Sticky detonator
Hammer
But no
Sniper
Beam rifle
Binary rifle
rocket
Incinerator
Fuel Rod
Laser.
Sword.

…Maybe you should adapt to the new proceedings then? This is the new way that the franchise is going. I personally find it more lively and dynamic as opposed to the old, boring, monotonous way that the previous games played. I guess we’ll just have to agree to disagree.

Well true, everyone to their own opinion, But they could have added gamemodes for each individuals taste. Say keep one game mode that is much more like the one from Reach or halo3…(no Ordnancedrops.)And then see which one is played most. Everyone would have been happy. Just saying.

You mean the old boring game play you couldn’t get a kill in? That makes sense. Hey guys I suck so I want the new game to do stuff for me because heaven forbid I actually try to get better. People wonder why the gaming industry has went to hell.
