I understand that most people hate the multiplayer mechanics and the DMR compared to the BR, but other than that and a few other things, it is a great game! The campaign is amazing overall. The multiplayer may not be as good as Halo 3, but it is all upgraded and still really fun. And it keeps going. Yes, I could name a million things they did wrong and what they should have done too. I’m not disagreeing with those who don’t like it because it is completely understandable. I am just saying that it is still an amazing game and I think it deserves a little more respect. Also, remember I kept this post very brief so don’t assume anything.
Here we go again with this thread. People don’t like Reach because its a bad HALO game. I didn’t say bad game , i said bad HALO game. I can understand how people enjoy it, but a lot of people just don’t like it because its not Halo. Horrible new mechanics (bloom, no bleed-through etc.) Terrible loadouts that just inbalance the game and noob it up and a bad ranking system that shows no skill at all. On top of that there is not a single good map on Halo Reach. The only decent maps are zealot and countdown, but unfortunately in default Reach, they only have close quarter weapons and are therefore a noob fest. These are the main reasons why I detest Reach and quit playing it.
The randomness associated with bloom is frustrating. Trueskill doesn’t do a good job of creating proper matchups. Armor Abilities slow the game down and break maps. I could go on, but I won’t.

There were so cannon issues which upset me but apart from that I like it. Other players don’t like the massive change of play from Halo 3 to Halo: Reach.
The ironic thing is that almost every single person that is going to go on and on about how bad Reach is, has continued to play for a year and most likely wont stop until 4 comes out. Thats when a whole new batch of complainers will regail us with how much better of a game they could make Halo. Awesome =/

Why do you act if this is an argument? It has many possible and obvious answers.
Possibilities:
Game is bad, so no one spends time on it.
They want future games to be less like reach.
They want to help craft Halo 4.
Browsing forums is fun.
many more…
There is only a few things that i dont like with reach, and sadly they’re big issues. I’m not a fan of the DMR, personally I prefer the BR
Armor abilities took away from the core gameplay that I loved with past Halo games.
NOT A BIG PROBLEM: Elites are very tough to kill because they dodge EVERYTHING!
I do understand that elites are supposed to be hard, but i dont think they should dodge everything.
I miss finding fun glitches that would make the campaign even more fun, like getting out of the levels and such, theres barely any of that in Reach.

Bloom was a negative in my opinion… I know that other games had bloom, but less visible. It makes me feel like im restricted with shooting the guns like i want… And besides, Spartans are War machines but they cant stop the recoil on a gun? whatever lol
The same kids that cried about the BR being OP in H2/3 now think they are actually worth something to their team because they can instantly unbalance the game with one button. Halo is an Arena Shooter, this means that everyone starts out equally and to gain the advantage one team must win over weapons, map control and vehicles. And to do this you need to be skilled. Reach essentially takes this skill away by implementing a wide random factor into the game which was previously about precision.
In Reach no one starts off the same because of AAs, no one has the same chance because of Bloom and there is no map control because of things like sprint, evade and jetpack which just negate map control entirely.
With sprint you can run faster than another player, getting somewhere before someone else might. Evade is the same thing, and jetpack adds a new and annoying plane of fighting… vertically.
Reachtard: “The other team controls that hill? Oh I’ll just Jetpack lol! I’m good because I can fly”.

Overall I enjoy it, but there are definitely some things I hate about it. The one that comes to mind most often is the whole Noble team concept. I don’t want to be the rookie on a team of lame misfits I wouldn’t hire to fix a toilet. They seem wholly incompetent and mostly I hate what they do in the game. I hate when they line up in front of me in a battle so I can’t get a shot unless I get in front of them, which will get me killed almost instantly. I hate Kat’s driving. I hate it when Emile fires his sniper in Nightfall so I can’t sneak up on the Elite on the bridge to assassinate him.
I get to be one guy on a team of losers. What a stupid concept. At least in ODST your teammates were competent.
I hate all the friendly AI, not just Noble team. I hate the civilians who run around like chickens with no heads, getting in the way. I even hate the stupid Moa, which have an inexplicable tendency to run straight toward me and even into me.
