Be it wraith or tank turret people will always go in my turret spot which never helps at all. If they had 2 options with one being a button for an automatic win and the other is going in the turret of my wraith for example. They will always go for the turret. Plus it just handicaps the team of being 11v12 with a free double kill + no chances for the enemy of messing up of boarding ur vehicle instead of jumping in ur turret… rant over
If I’m waiting for my buddy to get in my gun I drive away if I see a randy trying to get on. If he gets on I go and get him killed or warthog flipped or don’t drive at all so he gets off
I hop in the Hog turret sometimes just for a point A-B. Easier than sprinting.
If I get in a turret, I try to be a spotter for the driver. I’ll shoot in the direction I see enemies to let the driver know or to maybe prevent being boarded. Aside from that, the turret is pretty bad.
I hate when I position my turret or goose to throw nades, and some randy just jumps in and starts driving me around like a Sunday driver, and getting us both killed.
I’ve reported more people for that than anything.

You’re giving the enemy team points because some random jumped on your warthog’s turret? Sounds a bit toxic…

esp in warzone assault where I park my gungoose inside of the core room as defenders to throw grenades with my grenades dmging mode and some random will go in my gungoose and drive out to the open for 1-2 kills but getting us both killed. Like let me get grenade kills my company needs-_- I will prob have a 1/20 chance of a game where no one drives my gungoose… same with rocket hog or gauss hog…
One time I hopped into the turret of someone’s Scorpion and he was really bad. I saved him from being boarded like 4 times. In the end he got boarded and I got more kills than he did. Usually I do spotting for Scorpions, but sometimes I switch to support mode.

Oh if it’s a scorpion or Westinghouse sure. I just don’t trust randoms with the turret on a hog some may be good but more get me killed
I just hop into vehicle’s turrets to get to places faster xD

i dont mind it gives me support and i try to keep them alive in the turret the best i can.
I’ll usually avoid getting in turrets unless they’re fighting a boss or my team is doing well and I’m bored. I don’t know why people get in Wraith turrets though since they’re pretty useless.
When I jump into the tank turret it is because I have the wheelman armor mod… Which means you get a -Yoink-ton more armor and EMP resistance.
[EDIT] -Yoink-ton got censored into Bunch? Fine, I shall make the -Yoink- censoring myself =P

They protect you from boarders in the front.

Someone in your turret can help prevent boarding. Do extra damage to vehicles (Particular banshees) you are trying to hit. And provide a second set of eyes being able to point out where you should direct your mortar/cannon if they see something you don’t. Someone is reducing there own effectiveness in order to help you and make you better and you decide to complain about it? Accept help where it comes.

when you put it into words it does sound like nice help but when you actually play then it just doesn’t work out. I will give two examples with one wraith and one tank. With the wraith lets say I am on the defending team on dispatch for warzone assault. I am mortering the other side getting good amount of kills. Random goes into my turret which has no use at all. its basically 11v12 with 11 people defending with the random being useless on my turret and he could be out there br the pistol or br picking off the other team.
other example would be me in the last base on the defender team with a tank. I put my tank in a way where the front is behind the core room so the other team will have trouble shooting at me. then a random goes in my turret being useless where he COULD be out there defending the core area or picking off enemy team but rather sit in my turret doing nothing. Same with attackers side. I put my tank pretty far away so the enemy team has trouble shooting me and random goes in my turret doing nothing.
these are just couple out of the many situations. Would rather have the random spawn in a ghost which would be more helpful for the team.
I rarely hop in the turret of tanks but when I do I usually do a good job of gunning, sometimes shooting in the direction of where the driver should go.
