When the BR is obviously the EASIEST weapon in the game
I’m so happy the assault rifle is actually useful now.
People get mad when they have a br and I merc them with my pistol.
How dare the AR be a viable weapon, “we love halo CE, but the magnum is OP in halo 5, its a sidearm and shouldn’t be so strong”
I love the Halo Ce Magnum and I love the Halo 5 Pistol, though the two are pretty unrelated in their function and execution.
Battle Rifle is pretty easy, which is why we don’t start out with it.
The Assault Rifle however…it’s more than just a “viable weapon”, and it’s certainly not any harder to use than the Battle Rifle.
I think all the weapons are balanced

You’re very mistaken here. The magnum isnt a sidearm and isnt op. In fact its time to kill is just under the br, which makes it balanced in halo, an arena shooter. You know, arena shooters are designed in a way that no one weapon is dominante.

This… then sometimes I -Yoink!- them to drive it home 
The ar/magnum setup causes people to move around the map more and get the weapons they want, instead of camping wherever you spawn. I agree, there is nothing wrong with them.

??? halo 5 is the purest forms of arena play. what other game has map pickups? what game has superb weaopn balance? litterally every weaopn has a purpose

Yes, Halo has always had elements of an Arena shooter such as map pickups, but it has never been purely Arena. It’s more of a weird Arena/Squad shooter hybrid.
The issue isn’t the AR itself I feel, but rather the combination of a small radar, sprint, and Spartan charge.
Increase the radar to 25 or 30m, and the other problems fix themselves.
If 343 will add BR starts it wouldnt be the same game and everyone would use BRs all the time. Halo is about beeing tactical and to get control of the power weapons and thats the way it should be, otherwise go play another FPS games with BR and sniper. Halos variety in weapons is what makes the game special and fun.

That will change when people start getting more certification cards and DMR cards.
personally, I use my SMG more. A lot of people do as well.
I love the AR, it has replaced my need for a BR, although I like the SMG slightly more because it is better is cqc.
